When you register to join the ACF, Cricket Australia requests certain information from you to enable us to register you as a member of the ACF, and to enable us to understand more about our fans so we can provide products and services you want.

Terms and Conditions of Entry for the "Bring Home the Ashes" Promotion
1. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these conditions. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions.
2. The promoter is Cricket Australia, ABN 53 006 089 130, of 60 Jolimont Street, Jolimont, Victoria 3002 (Promoter).
3. Entry is open only to all Australian residents except directors, officers and employees (and the immediate families of directors, officers and employees) of the Promoter, or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition (Eligible Entrants).
4. The Promotion commences at 9am AEDST on 28 November 2008 and closes at 11.59pm AEDST 20 February 2009 (Promotion Period).
5. To enter:
(a) the major prize draw, an Eligible Entrant must register online at www.cricket.com.au and follow the prompts to become a valid member of the Australian Cricket Family during the Promotion Period, including agreeing to the Australian Cricket Family Terms and Conditions . Only one entry per Eligible Entrant will be accepted into the main prize draw; and
(b) each of the daily prize draws, an Eligible Entrant must SMS their email address to 1999 5005 (maximum call cost 55 cents) between 9.00am and 7.00pm (local time) on days 1 through 4 of each 3 Mobile Test match in the 2008/09 season or between 9.00am and 11.00pm (local time) on the day of each Commonwealth Bank Series One Day International in the 2008/09 season (see the table below). The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Eligible Entrant who provides an incorrect or fake email address. Each Eligible Entrant who sends an SMS under this paragraph consents to be contacted by the Promoter and/or its agency with information regarding the process by which the Eligible Entrant can join the ACF and enter the main prize draw. Only one entry per Eligible Entrant will be accepted into each daily prize draw. Entrants into the daily prize draws can only enter the major prize draw if they comply with the requirements of paragraph 5(a) above.
6. The major prize draw will be held at 12.00pm (Melbourne time) on 25 Feb 2009 at 36 Market Street, South Melbourne 3205.
7. The first complete valid entry drawn will receive as the major prize a trip for the winner and a guest to London to attend the 2009 npower Ashes 5th Test Match at The Oval, London from 20 August 2009 to 24 August 2009 including 2 return economy airfares from winner’s nearest capital city in Australia to London, 6 nights twin share accommodation at the Radisson Vanderbilt (from 19 August 2009 to 25 August 09), 5 days reserved seating at the 2009 npower Ashes 5th Test Match, A$2,000 spending money, full buffet breakfast daily, official Polo Shirt, Cap and Lanyard, a cricket bat signed by the Australian touring team, transfers to and from Heathrow airport, transfers daily to The Oval. The major prize is valued at up to A$19,550 (inc GST), depending on the winner’s point of departure. All other expenses shall be for the account of the winner and/or his or her guest. The winner may be required to present a valid credit card at the time of hotel check in.
8. There will be up to 30 daily prize draws: (i) a prize draw after each of the first four days of each 3 Mobile Test match in the 2008/09 season (20 daily prize draws); and (ii) a prize draw after each Commonwealth Bank Series One Day International in the 2008/09 season (10 daily prize draws). The Promoter reserves the right not to hold a daily prize draw in respect of a day of cricket that is cancelled for any reason including, without limitation, washout.
9. Each daily prize draw will be drawn the day following the day in respect of which the prize draw relates at 12.00pm AEDST at 36 Market Street, South Melbourne 3205 commencing 29 November 2008 until 14 February 2009 . There are 3 prizes to be drawn daily. Each daily prize consists of a supporter pack containing a green and gold hat, shirt, zinc cream and storage bag. Each daily prize is valued at up to A$100 (inc GST).
10. The total prize pool is valued at up to A$28,550 (inc GST).
11. In respect of the major prize, the winner and guest must travel together at times determined by Promoter in its sole discretion. Travel arrangements (which may not necessarily include direct flights), hotel accommodations, ground transportation, exact seating at The Oval and all other details of major prize are to be determined by Promoter in its sole discretion. All spending money, additional meals, taxes, insurance, additional transfers and all other ancillary costs, including any costs associated with transport etc from the winner’s and guest’s place or places of residence to the winner’s nearest Australian capital city are the responsibility of the winner.
12. The major prize winner and their guest must sign an indemnity and exclusion of liability form and publicity (provided by the Promoter) in favour of all parties involved in this competition prior to taking the major prize. If the major prize winner or their nominated companion does not sign the indemnity form provided by the Promoter within the time requested by the Promoter, the major prize winner’s entry or claim will be deemed invalid.
13. If the winner of the major prize is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or guardian. In the event that one of the people participating or nominated to participate in the prize is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian of the participant must be present for the duration of the prize, as one of the participants.
14. The prize value is accurate as at the Promotion date. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value after that date. In the event for any reason a prize winner does not take an element of a prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the Prize. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If for any reason a prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another item for it, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each State and Territory, where relevant.
15. The major prize winner will be notified by mail and the name and state of residence of that winner will be published in The Australian on 11 Mar 2009. The winners of each daily prize draw will be notified by mail.
16. In the event that the major prize is not accepted or claimed by 8 April 2009 or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter cannot personally contact the major prize winner by 5.00pm AEDST on 8 April 2009, or if any indemnity and exclusion of liability forms required by Promoter are not timely returned, the winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter reserves the right to conduct such further draws at noon on 15 April 2009 AEDST at 36 Market Street, South Melbourne 3205 as are necessary to distribute the major prize, subject to any written directions given by any relevant gaming authority, where required. The winner in any such subsequent draw, will be notified by telephone and in writing and published in The Australian newspaper on 22 April 2009. In the event of a minor prize not being accepted or claimed within 3½ months of the draw, the winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter reserves the right to conduct such further draws on 25/05/09 at the same time and at same location as the original draw as are necessary to distribute the prize. Any winner will be notified in writing.
17. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries in the event of non-compliance with the conditions of entry or if, in the opinion of the Promoter, an Eligible Entrant tampers or interferes with any entry mechanism in any way.
18. The Promoter's decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on each person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
19. At the Promoter’s request, the winner must participate in, and where relevant must procure that the winner’s guest participate in, all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in promotional material.
20. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize[s]. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax liabilities that may arise from winning a prize.
21. If for any reason any aspect of this Competition is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, by reason of infection by computer virus, mobile network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory, where required.
22. By participating in this Promotion, Eligible Entrants understand and agree that the Promoter may use and disclose the information provided by them in relation to this Promotion for the purpose of conducting this Promotion and for any of the purposes set out in the Promoter's privacy policy which is available at www.cricket.com.au/privacy or by emailing privacy@cricket.com.au. An Eligible Entrant can request to access, update or correct any personal information held about them by the Promoter or Cricket Australia by writing to Cricket Australia's Privacy Officer at 60 Jolimont Street, Jolimont, VIC, 3002 or sending an email to privacy@cricket.com.au
