It's been 150 years since rabbits were introduced to mainland Australia and they have forever changed the Australian landscape. We want to hear your fiction or non-fiction rabbit stories in 500 words or less

To enter the Competition, you must:

(i) produce a written story of 500 words or less in accordance with clause 11 (“Work”);
(ii) complete the entry form (available at abc.net.au/rural (“Website”); and
(iii) submit your entry accompanied by the entry form and your name, address, email address and telephone number by post to:
Rabbiting On, ABC Canberra, GPO Box 9994, Canberra ACT 2601; or through the Website

The two Major Prize Winners will each receive:

(a) the opportunity for the Major Prize Winner and three (3) people nominated by the Major Prize Winner to visit Australian Wildlife Conservancy’s Scotia Sanctuaries, participate in day and night sightseeing of endangered native animals, and take part in other guided tours (“Visit”);
subject to clause 17, four return economy airfares from the commercial airport which is nearest to the residential address of the Major Prize Winner to either Mildura or Broken Hill, plus self-drive car hire from the applicable airport to Scotia Sanctuaries. A fully licensed adult must be in the travelling party to drive the hire car. (“Airfares”& “Car Hire”);
(c) subject to clause 17 below, two nights family-style accommodation for four people at Scotia Sanctuaries including all meals while on site, plus one night family style accommodation in Broken Hill
