Terms and Conditions


1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry. Entry is via the WEB only.

2. Entry is open to all permanent Australian residents. Employees, Directors and their immediate families of the Promoter and their related bodies corporate, and printers, suppliers, providers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible.

3. The promotion closes at 17.00 (AEST) on Friday 27 February 2009 (Promotion Period).

4. To enter the promotion, participants must:

(1) Purchase any one (1) Continental product (from the following categories: Recipe Bases, Packet Soup, Cup A Soup, Side Dishes, Pour over Sauces, Gravies, Spices, Stocks and Vegetables).

(2) Log onto www.continental.com.au and click on your country, followed by the ‘Enter to Win’ tab. Click on the Rewards Club tile and follow the prompts to submit the required details including but not limited to the entrants full name, full mailing address, telephone number, barcode and tell us in 25 words or less “What your Favourite Continental Product is and why?” during the Promotional Period

5. Participants may enter as many times as they like but each entry must be associated with a separate purchase of a participating Continental product and contain a unique answer.

6. Each entrant may be required to retain and present proof of their purchase (in the form of an original or photocopied store receipt) for all entries made, in order to claim a prize. Entrants can only enter in their own name. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of age, identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address, and/or proof of entry validity. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to validate and check the authenticity of any prize claim or entry before awarding a prize.

7. Any costs associated with accessing the promotional website are the entrant’s responsibility and are dependent on the internet service provider used.

8. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt into the Promoter’s database and not at the time of transmission. Any contact details entered incorrectly shall invalidate the entry. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries.

9. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited an will render all entries submitted from that source and by those entrants invalid.

10. The major prize for this promotion consists of a $1,000 Gift Certificate to Red Balloon Days (“Voucher”).

11. All entries will be judged on the 05/03/09 from all valid entries received at Unilever 20-22 Cambridge St, Epping NSW. This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each valid entry will be individually judged (by representatives of the Promoter) based on, among other things, literary and creative merit. Winner will be notified by mail and phone and their name published on the Continental website.

12. The total maximum prize pool is valued at up to AUD $1,000 (including GST).

13. The Voucher will be issued in the name of the winner. Vouchers are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund. Vouchers and unused portions of gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Any change in the validity period of the prize between the publishing date and the date prizes are claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter. If your purchase exceeds the amount of the Voucher, the winner is responsible for the balance of the purchase. The winner acknowledges that the Voucher and their use may be subject to the additional terms and conditions of the voucher and can be found at www.redballoondays.com.au The Voucher must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use it as stated. The Promoter is not responsible for lost or stolen Vouchers. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility and is not liable for additional conditions imposed by third party nor for the breach of those conditions by any person.

14. Prize will be delivered in Australia by courier and winner should allow 28 days for delivery of their prize from the draw date, 05/03/09.

15. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to state regulation.

16. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the internet user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this promotion, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this promotion including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or website, software failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries and any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any materials in the promotion.

17. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the Prize.

18. All existing claims for prizes and entitlements to claims will be met notwithstanding the advertised prize pool has been exceeded.

19. If the winner is under the age of 18 years the prize will be awarded to their parent or legal guardian at the discretion of the Promoter.

20. Unless expressly stated, all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner.

21. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into. 22. The Promoter and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit. Once prizes have left Promoter's premises, the Promoter will not be responsible for any delay in delivery, or failure of safe delivery of prizes.

23. The winner agrees to the use of their name, image and photograph/s for publicity and promotional purposes, without compensation, and agrees that the Promoter will own copyright in any such images and photograph/s and in all material incorporating the photograph/s.

24. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

25. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.

26. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

27. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects entrants' personal information about you to enable you to participate in this promotion. To facilitate your participation, the Promoter may disclose your personal information to other companies associated with this promotion. If you do not provide your personal information, the Promoter will not be able to enter you into this promotion. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at the address shown below.

28. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and, subject to any written directions given by the various Lottery Departments, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.

29. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it's determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State Regulation.

that's strange that they don't mention starting date? As l have just re-posted this comp, l am not sure. I have not seen any entry forms to verify when it starts.

I just tried to enter this comp, but on the entry it doesn't have Victoria as a choice of state.
Does anyone else have that trouble,,, I checked the T&C and it said that it was open to all Australian residents.
I also couldn't find any where to contact them on their website. Can anyone help?

I was just about to enter, found the same thing, no VIC option. I've located a phone number on the home page, will call during office hours.
