SURF Life Saving has been a part of the fabric of life on Sydney’s northern beaches for decades.
Thousands of lives have been saved over the years, and the Surf Life Saving culture of helping others plays a vital role in our local communities.
This culture of looking out for those in trouble and standing by your mates is ingrained early on, with nippers learning the value of teamwork as well as striving to achieve their personal best.
To recognise the great work done by Surf Life Saving on Sydney’s Northern Beaches (SLSSNB), The Manly Daily, in conjunction with SLSSNB, is proud to announce a summer photographic competition.
We are asking readers to send us their best pictures of Surf Life Saving and beach culture in our region.
The picture could be of Surf Life Saving members at work, it could be nippers having fun or simply an iconic beach shot that captures the very essence of what our beach culture is all about.
We will feature a selection of the best pictures most weeks, and these will then be in the running for the first prize of a Nikon D40 SLR camera valued at more than $500.

Pictures must be emailed together with your name, address and contact numbers to photos@manlydaily.com.au
