Prize Frenzy™
After months of plundering all and sundry with abandon, Frenzor(tm) has now arrived in the time of plenty, when there are so many things happening
that he literally cannot give away all the loot that winds up in his calloused, greedy claws. But that's never stopped Frenzor(tm) from trying, and
so here, in the last of several weekly editions of the Frenzor's(tm) Famous Fringe Frenzy, are the fruits of a productive week's work, ready to be
dispensed at 1pm on Friday 13 March to anyone willing to call up on call 8231 0881.
1. Ben Lee's on the cover of this edition. That's because he's got a new album out, and he's playing with the ASO soon. Not surprising that he's
reasonably happy with himself, then. He even sidestepped controversy recently, as he tells Scott Berry in this edition, and given he's in such a good
mood, he's provided two double passes to that ASO show, on Friday 13 March at The Festival Theatre.
2. Dhafer Youssef also appears in this edition, having been interviewed by Lenin Simos. He's also got a show at The Festival Theatre coming up,
playing there on Wednesday 25 March, and he's giving two double passes to that away. Coincidence maybe, but eerie nonetheless.
3. Alexis Buxton-Collins has been jumping up and down to Titus Andronicus' debut album, 'The Airing Of Grievances', lately, and it's got the 'We
Liked It And You Will Too' slot this edition. Thanks to Remote Control, there are three copies to give away.
4. There's a lot happening at Scorcherfest. A lot. Like 55 live bands, stand up comedy, five hours of Latino Dance Fiesta, a VJ, party tricks and the
world three-a-side twister tournament. So it makes sense that we have a lot of tickets to give away - ten double passes in fact, and if you want to be
part of the action at Flinders University on Sunday 15, you know what to do.
5. You know how those V Festival sideshows are coming to Adelaide? Yeah, the one's that get artists playing short festival slots interstate to do a
full concert here, like the one that has Kaiser Chiefs and Razorlight playing at Thebarton Theatre on Friday 3 April. They're pretty ace, hey?
What's even better is that Frenzor(tm) has three double passes to give away.
6. Oh yeah, and there's another one of those ace sideshows as well, with Snow Patrol and the too cute to be true Jenny Lewis, at the Ent Centre on
Wednesday 1 April. Three double passes to give away? Check.
7. There are a couple of things happening over in the Garden Of Unearthly Delights, in case you hadn't noticed, and judging by the large crowds
milling around that area that always seem to be laughing and having a good time, they must be alright as well. Tin Pan Orange are more into music than
comedy. Well, to be fair, there's nothing funny about their rootsy folk, but that doesn't make it any less fun and you should still put a note in
your diary right now to ring up and ask for a ticket to their Bosco Theater show on Monday 16 March.
8. Also in the Garden Of Unearthly Delights, also on Monday 16 March, The Colors present their interactive comeback show with an interactive
performance that could only happen at the Fringe and there are once again three doubles for that show.
its time for you guys to be ringing
not quite....12.37pm here. we are half hour behind
