ashke - 23-1-2009 @ 12:20 AM

nice........nice....... :P:P:P

Sands - 23-1-2009 @ 12:23 AM

very nice

prizenetta - 23-1-2009 @ 12:30 AM

Thanks hollie ;)

Hubby hates these comps as I won't do one big shop.
I'm too embarrassed to ask them to stop and pay in numerous transactions.
I really must get over it ;)

But the last time I asked for seperate reciepts in a certain Woolies store she told me off :D
So I went back in three times!
She was really grumpy by then, it was about 7am:P
Couldn't ask for the manager because she WAS serving me.

ashke - 23-1-2009 @ 12:34 AM

lol prizenetta :P

serves her right for being such a grumpy cow :P:P:P

Bigam - 23-1-2009 @ 12:35 AM

oooh - would love to win a trip for kids to Disneyland!

ashke - 23-1-2009 @ 12:35 AM

and there's FOUR to be won! :):):)

Dee48 - 23-1-2009 @ 12:41 AM

Thanks Hollie, good one, hope to see more comps like this rolling in for 2009.

katrina089 - 23-1-2009 @ 12:43 AM

what a nice comp.

Flutterby - 23-1-2009 @ 01:04 AM

With these ones I put the items on the belt in groups of $50 (keep a mental note or write down the prices to make it easy on yourself) then pay the first in cash, the second on eft, the third on credit. That way it just looks like you are sharing around the payments and if anyone says anything then say you are shopping for yourself and your sick nan (that is if you don't want to admit to comping :P) ;)

enchantedspirit - 23-1-2009 @ 01:12 AM

or just go through self serve and explain to no-one LOL;)

banana - 23-1-2009 @ 01:26 AM

Thanks hollie, great comp.

If only my local Woolies had self-serve!! :( I'd love it:):)

Does anyone know if any SA Woolies have self-serve? Haven't seen any yet

ashke - 23-1-2009 @ 02:23 AM

nicolejane, the Unley store has them (the only one I know of)

EDIT: just saw where you are though...bit far to travel for your shopping :P:P:P

nicolejane - 23-1-2009 @ 02:49 AM

Thanks Ashke

I do go to Adelaide at least once a month, so that's good to know :)

mcwinner - 23-1-2009 @ 03:51 AM

Or don't worry about what they think and if they get grumpy good. The Comps make these rules and we abide by them, if they have a problem take it up with there management.

timtam - 23-1-2009 @ 04:02 AM

I couldn't do it.....the embarrassment factor is too high for me. My kids embarrass me enough at the shops without that!

cleanup - 23-1-2009 @ 06:43 AM

I do it and when they say things like why bother I list off a few bigger things I have won, soon shuts them up !!!

But I do love the selfserve checkouts now, I go out of my way to shop at the Woolies that has them if there are lots of comp products to purchase on seperate receipts.

Caledonian - 23-1-2009 @ 07:35 AM

I've got no problem paying in $50 lots. The girls at my local Woolies all know me and they are always asking what I've won lately so they know if I'm doing something like this it's because I need the seperate receipts. And even if they weren't so nice it still wouldn't bother me, I'd still do it.

agentmanti - 23-1-2009 @ 09:05 AM

they have to ware the inconvenience!

if they had any BRAINS, one should be allowed to enter 4 times with a docket recording $200 grocery purchase for example!

They ask for it this way, SO BE IT! :D:D:D:D

Ashlan - 23-1-2009 @ 10:01 AM

Does anyone know if any SA Woolies have self-serve? Haven't seen any yet

Harbor Town has them also.

Love these sort of comps. I won with the meat one last year so will try my luck again

Ashlan - 23-1-2009 @ 10:02 AM

How do you copy someone elses post and the answer. I copied and pasted but it came up looking as though I had written it

, just realised this will come out as a quote when posted .But it can be done .

miakeira - 23-1-2009 @ 11:43 PM

Good on you Hollie. dont worry what the checkout girls think. The self serve checkouts would be the answer! good luck.

Yes gypsy you can do it in lite by copying what someone has written and putting
at the beginning and
at the end but it doesn't say who wrote it unless you type this in yourself like above.

suef18 - 24-1-2009 @ 12:59 AM

Nicolejane Woolies at Colonnades also has self-serve

Veritas - 24-1-2009 @ 05:38 AM

I agree with others about the advantage of being able to enter multiple times on one receipt.......$200 = 4 entries.

This would simplify matters for both parties.

Maybe we should all contact Woolies and suggest that this would be a better system if they run this comp next year.

For now, it's back to adding up as I go....would hate to miss out on an entry! :D

Dark Enigma - 28-1-2009 @ 06:46 AM

Still haven't managed to win any prizes from one of these big Coles/Woolworths competitions.

lisap8520 - 29-1-2009 @ 11:35 AM

Woolies in Port Pirie has self-serve checkouts (bit far for you city folk to come though!)

gypsy - 29-1-2009 @ 11:55 AM

The new Redcliffe store does too , I usually end up telling them how stupid they are , if you take the bag away too soon it won't let you go any further with out the girl if you can find one comes over & punches in some key or with light items that don't register after placing them in the bag & it keeps telling you to place item in baggage area .
The things we do for comping .:):):)

catbat - 30-1-2009 @ 04:07 AM

I'll have to go to Harbortown & try thanks Ashlan! Is it easy or am I likely to hold everyonein the line up! If paying cash how do you do it.. Does it give you a receipt to Take to a register?
Also nicole jane the one in Pt. Pirie might be closer for you I think- or is that as long a way from the turn off as Adelaide, but in the other direction!

ReallyAddicted - 30-1-2009 @ 04:21 AM

gypsy with light items like cards etc ... just make sure you tap the bottom with it and it will register. I thought originally that they worked on weight but it must be vibration lolllllll :D

nicolejane - 30-1-2009 @ 04:25 AM

Hi Catbat

I go to the Pirie and Whyalla ones when I visit rellies in Whyalla, but more often than not I go to town (Adelaide). Usually to TTP, North Park or Stepney stores, or Munno Para

thanks :)

nesral - 30-1-2009 @ 11:01 PM

Do we know as yet what we cant buy towards this. Cant remember from last year

Flutterby - 30-1-2009 @ 11:41 PM

If it is the same as last year then it is all the stuff in the middle isles 'groceries' so no fresh stuff just packaged stuff. Also people got caught out last year as it didn't include bread.
Monday might be a good excuse to buy toilet paper and washing powder and the like. I buy nappies in bulk and wait for the 2 for $50 sales in wollies so this will be good for me :)

katrina089 - 1-2-2009 @ 10:35 AM

looks like im doing night raids on all trolleys lol.

Flutterby - 1-2-2009 @ 10:33 PM

There is no mention of this comp on the website :o:o:o:o

Kibby - 1-2-2009 @ 10:43 PM

i hope nappies etc are included as i saved a wish card to stock up on baby stuff.

Flutterby - 1-2-2009 @ 10:52 PM

It doesn't actually say no fresh food - fruit, bread etc but do you think we should assume that from "Woolworths Grocery Items"?

Just tried to click on T&Cs on the entry page but it won't let me see them without filling in the whole form.

Ozzy17 - 2-2-2009 @ 02:32 AM

Be careful in WA this comp doesn't start until 12 noon here!

I think it excludes meat, veg and fruit. They seem to run separate comps for these.

Goobie - 2-2-2009 @ 10:55 AM

Is anyone else having trouble entering?
I can fill in all my details but just won't do anything once I hit the enter button.

Goobie if you click just above the submit button it works. I don't think it's quite lined up properly :)

stargazer - 4-2-2009 @ 02:52 AM

I get error after I submit

fatima - 5-2-2009 @ 01:07 AM

I am from Tas and have an everyday card that I acquired from another state while on holiday. It won't allow me to enter it to access the Yaris component of the comp. Everyday cards have yet to hit our stores but I'm annoyed that I can enter mine still.

wenwin - 5-2-2009 @ 08:05 PM

Just making sure - so you can buy anything except liquor and cigarettes.

If you mail your entries you can write your Everyday Card number on the EF.

I'm getting paranoid about the Everyday Card component...we have two as I do the shopping and Mr P buys the petrol, so I swipe the card a few times at the shops and then we swap cards so he can use the credits for petrol, and we don't have to worry about who's got the card when. For my two entries so far I have used Mr P's card, which is registered in his name (different surname from mine)...I'm wondering if this will invalidate them??

Flutterby - 5-2-2009 @ 10:27 PM

Hey Pirate you can link the cards together so they are the same one. Have a look at the website, sure you can register a second card holder.

lisap8520 - 7-2-2009 @ 05:15 AM

Thanks for the competition :)

kitkat - 8-2-2009 @ 07:04 AM

Dont you just hate the entry forms when they expect you to write 13 numbers of everyday card in that little space....

Ozzy17 - 10-2-2009 @ 06:42 AM

Just out of interest how many times are you going to enter for this?

I email woolworths to get confirmation on this comp, asking if anything like deli/bakery and such was excluded, like in previous ones.

I have just recieved a reply

I havent had an entry yet as rarely get to a woolies these days & if I do its just for bits & pieces. But today I went & had my son to drive me home so bought more, I was going to get him to combine his with mine, but he went out ahead of me. My docket came to just under $45- :( so still missed out!!
