HOW TO ENTER

To enter, entrants must visit www.vplates.com.au, follow the prompts to the competition entry page, input the requested details, correctly answer the promotional question and submit the fully completed entry form, during the promotional period.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Entry is only open to Victorian residents aged 18 years or over. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
Only one entry permitted per person.
If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
Promotion commences at 9:00am AEDST on 23/02/09 and entries close 12:01pm AEDST on 20/03/09. The draw will take place at VicRoads, 60 Denmark Street, Kew, Victoria, 3101 on 20/03/09 at 12:30pm AEDST.
The winner will be notified in writing and by telephone. The winner’s name will be published in The Herald Sun on 25/03/09.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The first valid and correct entry drawn will win a “Grand Prix Prize Pack” valued at $4,730. The “Grand Prix Prize Pack ” comprises of two Fangio Grandstand tickets, two Pit Lane walk passes, a Paddock tour for two people, a Guest Lap in an official course car around the Albert Park track for two people, an official merchandise pack for two people (cap and polo), the Ultimate Speed Comparison Garage Tour for two people (a tour of the garage with a member from the Pit crew), a ‘Who Are You Gold’ ticket upgrade for two people to see The Who perform and a meet and greet with a selected V8 Super Car driver for two people. The time each element of the prize is to be taken will be determined by the Promoter and AGPC in their absolute discretion. Prize must be taken to coincide with the 2009 FORMULA 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix (the Event).
All elements of the “Grand Prix Prize Pack” are subject to the Conditions of Sale of tickets and the Conditions of Entry to the event (copies of which are available at www.grandprix.com.au or 131 931) and the Conditions of Entry displayed at entrances to the Grand Prix, as well as any further conditions required by the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC). As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner may also be required to sign a waiver and release of liability form prior to participation in any Guest Lap or other activity.
ENTRANTS ARE REMINDED AND AGREE, ACCEPT AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT MOTOR RACING, THE 2009 GRAND PRIX EVENT AND CERTAIN ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED THEREWITH (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PARTICIPATION IN THE GUEST LAP ELEMENT OF THE PRIZE) ARE DANGEROUS AND ACCIDENTS CAN HAPPEN.

Entrants and their companions are warned that there is a possibility of an accident causing injury, death or property damage or loss and attendance at the 2009 Grand Prix Event (“the Event”) and participation in the prize is at entrant’s and their companion’s own risk. Entrants and any companion acknowledge that the risks associated with attending the Event and participating in the prize include but are not limited to the risk of suffering harm as a result of cars (or parts of them) colliding with other cars, persons or property. Entrants and any companion acknowledge that entry to and remaining at the Event and participating in the prize has a degree of danger and, to the extent permitted by law (in particular sections 32J and 32JA of the Fair Trading Act 1999 (Vic) and section 74 of the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth)), hereby exclude, release and forever discharge AGPC, the Promoter, the Crown in right of the State of Victoria, the Minister administering the Australian Grands Prix Act 1994 (Vic), the Minister administering the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978 (Vic), Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, Formula One Administration Limited, Formula One Management Limited, Confederation of Australian Motor Sport, Parks Victoria, the State Sport Centres Trust, Kellogg Brown & Root Pty Ltd, the Event sponsors and all other persons involved in the organisation, conduct and promotion of the Event or the prize ("Associated Entities") from all liability for claims, loss, damage, costs or expenses arising from any personal injury or death (whether arising from negligence (but excluding gross negligence) or otherwise), arising from or connected with participation in Recreational Services (as defined below) at the Event, including the prize.

To the extent permitted by law (in particular sections 32J and 32JA of the Fair Trading Act 1999 (Vic) and section 74 of the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth)), Entrants and any companion acknowledge that, to the extent to which they participate at the Event in:
a sporting activity or similar leisure time pursuit; or
an activity that:
involves a significant degree of physical exertion or physical risk; and
is undertaken for the purposes of recreation, enjoyment or leisure,
("Recreational Services"),
including, without limitation, participation in various amusements and interactive displays and the Guest Laps, the Associated Entities do not make any warranty that the Recreational Services at the Event, including participation in the prize, will be provided with due care and skill or that any materials provided in connection with the Recreational Services, including participation in the prize, will be fit for the purposes for which they are supplied. Entrants and any companion acknowledge that, to the extent that any warranty is implied it is excluded to the full extent permitted by law.

WARNING: If an entrant participates in these activities his/her rights to sue the supplier under the Fair Trading Act 1999 if killed or injured because the recreational services were not supplied with due care and skill or were not reasonably fit for their purpose, are excluded, restricted or modified in the way set out in this notice.

NOTE: The change to an entrant’s rights as set out in this notice, does not apply if an entrant’s death or injury is due to gross negligence on the supplier’s part. “Gross negligence” is defined in the Fair Trading (Recreational Services) Regulations 2004.

For the purpose of this Condition 12 “the supplier” shall mean and include the Associated Entities.

Without limiting any other release or limitation of liability contained in these Terms and Conditions, the Associated Entities will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss suffered by any entrant or companion caused by any acts or omissions of the Associated Entities, their directors, employees, agents and contractors arising out of or in relation to the Event or the prize.

Nothing in this Condition 12 or these Terms and Conditions generally affects entrant’s rights under the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth), Fair Trading Act 1999 (Vic) or similar legislation regarding implied conditions and warranties to the extent that such implied conditions and warranties cannot be excluded by law.
The Grand Prix event tickets are subject to the event venue and ticket terms and conditions, including any applicable age restriction. The Promoter and the AGPC hereby expressly reserve the right to eject any winner (and/or his/her companion) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the prize.
Transport to and from the event, spending money, meals and any other ancillary costs associated with taking the prize is the sole responsibility of the winner and companion.
The Promoter will liaise with the winner to determine their size and aim to provide an appropriately sized polo shirt, subject to availability.
Prize, or any unused portion of a prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take/redeem the prize or an element of the prize at/by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.
If the winner cannot be contacted by 3:30pm AEDST on 23/03/09 or is contacted but ineligible the prize will be forfeited by the original drawn entrant and the Promoter will conduct an unclaimed prize draw to award the prize, on 23/03/09 at 5pm AEDST at the same place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The winner’s name will be published in The Herald Sun on 25/03/09.
Entrants consent to the Promoter and AGPC using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter or AGPC.
If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter and the AGPC (including their respective officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) if the appearance of any or all of the racing drivers, celebrity drivers participating in the celebrity challenge race or the Grand Prix event is cancelled for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (f) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (g) attendance at the Grand Prix and participation in any and all of the various prize elements.
The Promoter and the AGPC collect personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter and the AGPC may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter or the AGPC. All entries become the property of the Promoter and the AGPC. A request to access, update or correct any personal information, or to access the AGPC’s privacy policy, should be directed to the AGPC by contacting the AGPC at Grand Prix House, South Melbourne, VIC, 3205.

Shocker, my entry wouldn't go through using Firefox so I used IE and it went through fine without a code. Good Luck :)
