Maybe it’s their Frenchy logo, or maybe it’s the association with good times in the sand when we were kids, or maybe it’s – you know – the on trend, quirky pieces for hella excellent prices, but we really, really like Le Specs. This is a very good week for Specs appeal – the Australian eyewear label has just released it’s ’09 season preview range. The collection of four shades features ultra ‘80s styling in metal and plastic, with colours and shapes ranging from round and black to blue and square. A runaway hit Stateside, the Marcus Nispel-directed remake of horror classic Friday the 13th reaffirms hockey mask-wearing Jason Voorhees as one of cinema’s greatest slashers. 3D World and Paramount are allowing five super duper lucky readers to indulge in all the blood and gore they’ve ever dreamt of, with a double in-season pass to give away to the film, opening on 12 March only at the movies.
