HealthSmart Challenge... Win a GOLDEN DOOR health spa escape for 2We want to help you make health a habit and keep those New Year resolutions! To register your interest in the HealthSmart Challenge, fill in your details below and we will send you an ENTRY FORM.

URGENT: If you have not yet received your entry pack please email us at: challenge@myhealthsmart.com.au

What YOU need to do

1. Choose a personal health challenge that YOU would like to achieve in 2009
2. Focus on this goal for a six-week period in early 2009
3. Be smart when setting your goal

• Be specific: For example, instead of setting a goal of “I want to lose weight”, set yourself a specific goal like “I want to lose five kilos”
• Make it measurable: Don’t aim to “become healthy” or “less stressed”, instead define a goal that can be measured while contributing to a better eating, exercise or lifestyle plan. For example, aim to go to the gym for an hour three times a week; visit your Nana once a week for an evening meal; or nibble on no more than 200 grams of chocolate a week. All of these goals are measurable!
• Aim for something achievable: If you’ve never exercised in your life, don’t aim to compete in the Olympics 2010. Rather, buy yourself a pedometer and get walking instead, with a specific goal of so many steps a day. No need to aim for the stars; baby steps are good too!
• Make it relevant: Several HealthSmart staff members took the Challenge and initially chose goals that seemed right, but were in fact wrong. A few weeks down the track, the goals failed to inspire some team members. Avoid making the same mistake, rather choose goals that really “speak” to you!
• Make it timely: Finally, pick goals that are achievable in a six-week time-span.

First prizewinner, as determined by the judges, will win a five-night stay for TWO at The Golden Door Health Retreat – Elysia in the NSW Hunter valley, and this stay for two includes $300 worth of spa pampering as part of the stay for the winner AND friend. In addition, the winner will receive a $2,000 Westfield shopping voucher, courtesy of AlphaPharm, marketers of QuitX, nicotine replacement patches and gum that give you the power to help you quit. The total value of the first prize is $8,200.

The five runners-up will each win a $300 gift voucher from Abi and joseph, the quality leisurewear designers, PLUS a $240 cosmetic gift pack from Nutrimetics, each containing a Micro- Dermabrasion Kit, Skin Renewal Elixir, Facial Peel Crème and platinum gift bag.
