Lighthouses of Australia are running a photo competition through to March 2009.
With summer almost here, get out and visit your local lighthouse, take some pictures and send them in by email to bulletin@lighthouse.net.au
There are 2 prizes to be won, each a choice of print from the Seaside Lights gallery.
Winners will also have their photo published in "Prism" the printed magazine of LoA.
Competition Details
This competition is open to members and subscribers of Lighthouses of Australia Inc. (LoA)
Professional photographers are not eligible to enter
Any photographer deemed to be professional will not be accepted in the competition.
Photographs must include a Lighthouse, or part thereof.
Photographs must be entirely your own original work.
Photographs must not include any recognisable person.
Photographs should be submitted by email to bulletin@lighthouse.net.au
Photographs should be no bigger than 3Mb. Resolution should be at least 1200 pixels on the largest side.
You must provide your name, address, age, telephone number and email address if you wish to enter the competition.
LoA will only ever use these details for the purposes of administering this competition, and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without
your permission.
A maximum of 3 entries will be accepted per person
Deadline for receiving entries is 5pm on 31/03/09.
Results will be posted on the LoA website by 10/04/09. Winners will be advised by email.
Prize is your choice of photo from the Seaside Lights gallery
- Panorama to maximum size 75cm x 25cm
- Standard format to maximum size 60cm x 40cm
Photographs will be judged for both technical and visual merit.
The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By submitting your photograph to this competition, you agree to grant LoA, free of charge, the right to publish the photo on the LoA website and/or
the printed LoA magazine "Prism".
