Swim and Survive March 2009
Competition
Water Safety when Boating
Hello! Don't miss out - the Swim and Survive March 2009 Competition has started.
This months Swim and Survive Competition looks at WATER SAFETY WHEN BOATING. Playing on and around boats can be alot of fun, but boating can be a
dangerous pastime unless we pay attention to boating safety tips.
Make sure you know the rules on the waterways and how to be safe when going boating so you and your family can remain safe.
Next month, the Swim and Survive Competition looks at WATER SAFETY AT HOME.
If you answer the March questions correctly, you could win a fantastic PlayStation®2 Pack including a PS2 console and game for hours of fun.
The Competition starts on March 1, 2009 and ends at midnight on March 31, 2009. Children aged 5 to 14 years may enter. Winners will be notified by
email. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS TO ENSURE IT'S CORRECT.
Check all the competition details by looking at Terms and Conditions (18KB). http://www.royallifesaving.com.au//resources/documents/Terms_and_Conditions_(Jan06).pdf

I had a look at Water Safety when boating and it doesnt give the answers!

Mulitple choice answers: 1st one is definately d. wear life jacket all the time.
Pretty sure number 2 is b stay with the boat.
Just before your trip
- check the weather conditions
- wear and carry suitable clothes for a change in weather
- arrange for someone else to come along
- ensure the boat is not overloaded
- leave word of your planned destination and time of return
- pack a PFD for everyone on the boat
- if it’s your first time out, invited along someone with experience
in local conditions
