Dark Enigma - 16-3-2009 @ 11:32 PM

Just got the email for this one and thought - Wow, what a huge prize pool! :)

komala72 - 16-3-2009 @ 11:53 PM

OMG thats massive...SOB SOB SOb my local Centro is not on the list. :o:o:(

Reading the terms, how cruel is that. You can only scratch 3 squares. Can you imagine scratching all of you non winning card to find there where 3 cars on there. You just chose the wrong ones.

The prize pool is "potential" that is providing every single person scratches the correct winning squares. Otherwise its a loser. Thats tough. It will be interesting how many will actually win. If you already had two matching square how agonising would it be to choose your last one.

misskittykat - 17-3-2009 @ 12:00 AM

It's still pretty good, I think! Guess where I'll be doing my shopping for a couple of weeks, in $10 lots!! :P

miakeira - 17-3-2009 @ 03:06 AM

there is a centro near me but i wont go out of my way

mkelly3238 - 17-3-2009 @ 03:14 AM

I have just been to our local Centro and had 10 receipts and got 10 scratchy cards. Not one winner. Its very hard and the lady said that only 1 person had one a $20 shopping voucher since it had been going. :(

lemonpower - 17-3-2009 @ 03:58 AM

the Centro closest to me is not listed :(
Best of luck to all that enter:)

ilazarus - 18-3-2009 @ 02:52 AM

Arrrgggghhh!!!

This competition truly sucks!

I got one of the cards today, and started scratching. My second, third and fourth scratches revealed a $5000 travel voucher. Needless to say, I won nothing! If you reveal more than 3 numbers, you get nada!!!!!

Not happy!!! Ahh well, there are only another 299 possible travel vouchers left.....

Good luck to everyone else!!!

Dark Enigma - 18-3-2009 @ 05:17 AM

That sux, didn't realise it worked like that - no wonder they can afford such a large prize pool - they probably won't have to pay out most of the prizes.

That's right there is no second chance draw.
I scratched 3 cards today...only scratched to reveal 3....and all were different pictures.
The girl said to put it in the barrel...and I could win $10,000....and that's not for each Centro...that's for all of them combined.
I'm not going out of my way for this one:(:(

komala72 - 18-3-2009 @ 11:30 AM

ilazarus...too cruel...thats exactly what I meant...It would be just too painful.

My sister laughed when I explained it to her and said 'I bet there wont be an unclaimed prize draw' . Too right.

The ones like that, that win, probably have all squares identical. Surely they will have to give away some prizes. Who knows....some of the car ones might have more than 3 car symbols to give a greater chance.

Well, I scratched all the numbers on my card, and there were three for the $5000 travel voucher, 2 for the Coles voucher and the rest were other odds and ends... so you would have to b exceptionally lucky to win!

Ruth - 18-3-2009 @ 12:05 PM

Ilazarus can you please check if that is Armadale WA on the list please. The local paper had the ad for Maddington WA but not Armadale WA & I know there is an Armidale in the Eastern States somewhere.
Great comp but will be hard to get a win.
EDIT: Just read it properly it is Armidale NSW.

funnymummy26 - 18-3-2009 @ 01:50 PM

Such misleading advertising, makes me sick.

gembug - 19-3-2009 @ 04:14 AM

Wish there was some way you could see through the cards, i have sat there for an hour with my three scratch cards shining a torch through the back trying to make out the symbols but it is impossible:D
If there is a mathematician out there what are the odds of scratching the right 3 symbols out of 9?

From the T&C's "Due to the 9 panel scratch card, instant prizes generally have no more than a 1 in 84 chance of being won."

prizesgalore - 19-3-2009 @ 09:29 AM

I have only just noticed this one. I'm really good at scratching three $2 straight up on winning scratchies without scratching any other squares:D so might have to give this one a go.

koukla31 - 20-3-2009 @ 02:12 PM

thanx ilazarus 4 the comp.

scratched 11 of these so far, won nothing.

here's hoping 4 some better luck with the $10K draw.:(:(:(:(

Koukla

monikam - 29-3-2009 @ 03:32 AM

Thanks for the comp Ilazarus, some great prizes. Could use some extra cash right now. :D

Gordygirl - 2-4-2009 @ 02:38 AM

Today's the last day for this one...at my Centro they said seeing it's the last day, you'll receive 3 cards to scratch per purchase instead of 1.

I scratched 12 cards as it was grocery shop day...on my 9th card I decided to scratch all of them and the symbols were all different.. then I did another one ...same thing... then another one same thing.....the chances of winning this one is very slim:mad::mad:

koukla31 - 2-4-2009 @ 08:13 AM

well, another 1 bites the dust.
thank u ilazarus 4 posting.

I became very adept at scratching 3 "no prize" symbols.
after scratching more than 200 cards, I won 2*$20 grocery vouchers. the odds definitely beat me. none of my cards had 3 of anything else (I scratched all 9 circles on most of them). they were giving out 3 cards per receipt 2day and handfuls of them by 4.45.

4 any1 that's interested, I spoke 2 1 of the organisers.
She said there were approx 8,000 entries at Warriewood square which is a smaller centre. with 60 centres, there'll be over 500,000 entries.

FYI: Each of the 60 centres will draw 1 card and email the details 2 HQ where 1 winner of the $10K will be drawn electronically.

I told her next time to hand out the cards based on total spend rather than individual receipts (i.e. $200 spent=20 cards). also to let people scratch 4 or 5 symbols and only have to match 3. she is passing it on.

good luck evry1 that entered.

Koukla
