Question re: Tattslotto dividends

Hi there
My hubby and I are not regular Tatts players but will often buy a syndicate through work for the big draws.
Yesterday we were in a syndicate that won 4 numbers and 2 supps - having a look at the results - it doesn't pay much due to the huge volume of people who entered.
But I think being a system entry the prize may be multiplied a number of times but for the life of me can't work out how many.
Can someone help?
It was a system 18 with 4 numbers and 2 supps. ( the syndicate has 30 people in it) I think our share could be $64 or $300.
Many thanks

Why do you win more with a Systems entry?Top

Let's use the above example where we played a System 7 and chose the numbers 1 through 7, (the equivalent to 7 games). So then, if the winning numbers chosen in the draw are;

1, 2, 4, 5, 17, 28 with Supps 7 & 31
Then out of the 7 numbers you chose, you have 5 of the numbers correct,
which looks like this:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7

However, because you are playing a systems entry, the prizes are calculated against all of the equivalent game combinations. And this means that you can win multiple times, because you have multiple combinations of 6 numbers. Your wins look like this:
Combinations Divison
Game 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 Div 4
Game 2 1 2 3 4 5 7 Div 4
Game 3 1 2 3 4 6 7 Div 5
Game 4 1 2 3 5 6 7 Div 5
Game 5 1 2 4 5 6 7 Div 4
Game 6 1 3 4 5 6 7 Div 5
Game 7 2 3 4 5 6 7 Div 5

So as you can see, playing a systems entry, you have the ability to win multiple times on one entry. And the news just gets better, the bigger your systems entry.

For example, if you play a System 9 with your syndicate or family, and you get four numbers and 1 Supplementary number, you'll win 10 times the division 4 and 24 times the division 5 dividend. Click here to download a PDF of the 'Syndicate Record and Systems Guide'.

If you had a System 18 ticket in the Vic Tattslotto draw and got 4 straight numbers and the two supplementary numbers on the same line, my opinion is that the ticket has won the following:

Division 4: 91 times @ $30.10

Division 5: 576 times @ 21.00

Division 6: 1276 times @ 13.20

Total prize for the ticket is $31,678.30

Divided by the number of people in your work syndicate.

Congratulations if it is right though. Sounds like a nice win.

If it was a system 18 it would have cost over $11,000 for the ticket! Are you sure it was a system 18? but i I think that if that is right then the above calculations look right so would be about $1000 each share.
Congrats if that is the case :)

Thanks so much. I was sort of thinking it was what Chris60 posted.

And yes it was a System 18 (and two system 10's). Tickets came to $12,400. So our share was $413 - $370 of which we reinvested from a win in another big draw earlier in the year.

(That ticket was $70 per share)

Couldn't have come at a better time. I put groceries on my credit card yesterday!

Well done then
