If you boil the water in the kettle for every cup of tea you make then you're often impairing the flavour of the tea. For instance, when making Earl
Grey, I have gathered an appreciation of the optimum time to switch off the kettle during the heating process. If the water is heated for too long
then the tea is ruined.
