To celebrate Crime Writing Month, we are giving you the chance to win 50 of our favourite crime fiction and mystery books!
The prize
Ranging from good ol' noir and Victorian creepy to Scandinavian and downright bloody, this collection of 50 books will more than satisfy your thirst
for literary crime.
To win
All you need to do is solve the mystery of Damian Blade's death. How did Damian die? What is the cause of death in this peculiar case? We will
present you with a story and give you eight clues on eight working days via our blog, starting Thursday May 24. We will use facebook and twitter to
alert you to them.
Your first entry will be the one that counts and there will be a draw from all the correct answers; make sure you take the time to examine all 8 clues
thoroughly and solve the mystery to be in with a chance to win 50 nail-biting crime books.
Please remember that there will be 8 clues in total, so it is probably best to wait for each of them before submitting an answer. The winner will be drawn from all correct entries rather than earliest
correct answer winning. Your first entry will be the entry counted so you
cannot change your mind with later clues.

FAQs
How many clues will you provide? We will provide eight clues in the same number of working days. The first clue is out on Thursday May 24 and the last
one on Monday June 4.
When will the clues become available? Each clue becomes available at around 11 GMT.
How can I follow the clues? The clues will be in the form of blog posts and we will be linking to them from our facebook and twitter accounts. Update
(25/5/2012): You can also just find them at our competitions page.
Update (25/5/2012): Do I need to have a facebook or twitter account to
participate? No, you don't, you can find all the clues at our competitions page.
Do I need an account to enter the competition? No, you can operate as a
free agent! Secret agent...
How long does the competition last? The competition starts on 24 May 2012 and ends at midnight GMT on 7 June 2012.
Can I answer multiple times? You should only answer once. If you answer multiple times, your earliest answer will be
the one that counts.
Does the fastest detective win? No, there will be a draw from all the correct answers.
Will you only have one winner? That's right, one grand detective will win all 50 books!
How does the winner receive their prize? We will contact the winner by email and post the books to his/her address of choice.
I don't live in the UK, can I enter the competition? Yes, you can. This
competition knows no boundaries! |
