Entry Restrictions
Entrants [and their companion/s] must be 18 years of age or over. Entrants must be able to take the prize within 12 months of winning the
prize.Entrants must be able to attend the Challenge (with their nominated companion) on Friday 25th of January 2013 at the Challenge Location specified below and at the times specified by the Promoter. Entrants who are not able to attend the Challenge as specified above may have their entry invalidated and will forfeit any entitlement to a Prize.
Entrants must provide the details of their nominated companion for the Challenge to the Station in their Relevant State by a time as requested by the Promoter but in any event no later than 5pm (local time) on Thursday 24th January 2013.
Entrants must register for the Challenge at the Challenge Location in their Relevant State between the following times on Friday 25 January 2013;
(a) 2pm and 3pm AEDST (VIC & NSW); (b) 1pm and 2pm AEST (QLD);
(c) 11am and 12midday AWST (WA); (d) 1.30pm and 2.30pm ACDST (SA);
Entrants who are not registered by the time specified for their Relevant State above (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) may be disqualified and will forfeit any chance of winning a
Prize. (this clause does not apply to ďon-siteĒ entrants).
Entrants acknowledge that the Challenge involves physical activity and some risk. Entrants must not participate if they have an existing medical condition (including but not limited to a heart condition, low or high blood pressure, are prone to fainting, sun and heat sensitivity, nor have any other condition or illness that may prevent them from participating in the Challenge (such as being pregnant). Entrants must not participate in the Challenge under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
For the avoidance of doubt the Challenge involves participants sitting outside for a period of 2 hours in conditions that may involve high temperatures and exposure to the sun. Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Promoter to ensure participants safety, entrants must also ensure that they are fully prepared and physically able to participate in the Challenge and be aware of the potential weather conditions that the Challenge may be conducted in.
By entering this Competition, entrants warrant that they know of no reason relating to their health, or otherwise which would prevent them from being able to safely participate in the Challenge. Entrants acknowledge and agree that take participate in the Challenge at their own risk.
The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any entrant the right to participate in the Challenge for any reason but in particular if the Promoter is of the opinion that an entrant is not physically fit or capable of participating in the Challenge, or if the entrant is unwilling or unprepared to participate in the Challenge as required. The Promoterís decision regarding an entrant/s participation in the Challenge is final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
The Promoter will not be responsible for any loss or injury sustained as a result of entrants participating in the Challenge.
If requested by the Promoter entrants and their nominated companion must sign an indemnity prior to participating in the Challenge.
Entrants [and their companion/s] must be the holders of a current, Australian passport [with at least 6 months validity from the travel date].

Competition Period

Phone and Web Entry Competition Period:
This competition period begins at 4pm AEDST on Monday 14th January 2013
This competition period closes at 4pm AEDST on Wednesday 23rd of January 2013.
On Site Entry Competition Period:
This competition period begins at 2pm AEDST on Friday 25th January 2013 and closes at 3pm AEDST on Friday 25th January 2013.

Entry Method

Phone entry:
At various times during the Competition Period:
(a) listeners will be invited to call 13 24 10 during a specified time period;
(b) entrants who successfully call 13 24 10 during the specified time period
and who are selected by the Promoter (as determined by the Promoter in the Promoterís sole and absolute discretion), will receive one (1) invitation to participate in the Challenge.*
*The selection of entrants and the determination of Challengers may occur on- air or off-air (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion).

The Promoterís decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
Web entry:
During the Competition Period:
(a) listeners will be invited via Station on-air commercials to visit the Station Website and complete the online entry form including by providing their contact details and by stating in 25 words or less Ďwhat they have been waiting for thatís just made for summer?í
(b) each entry submitted by the time specified by the Station will be individually reviewed by representatives of the Station. The Station will select up to a maximum of 200 entries that it deems to be the ďbestĒ (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion and based on the Judging Criteria) from all valid entries received within the time period specified. The Station will then telephone the relevant entrant/s who will each receive one (1) invitation to participate in the Challenge.
On site entry:
On the day of the Challenge and during the Onsite Entry Competition Period;
(b) listeners (and their nominated companion) will be invited to attend the Challenge in their Relevant State and complete a registration form, including by providing their contact details, between;
(a) 2pm and 3pm AEDST (VIC & NSW);
(b) 1pm and 2pm AEST (QLD);
(c) 11am and 12midday AWST (WA);
(d) 1.30pm and 2.30pm ACDST (SA);
for their chance to win a spot in the Challenge;
(c) All successful entry forms will be placed into a draw which will take
place onsite in each Relevant State at the following times;
(a) Between 3.05pm and 3.15pm AEDST (VIC & NSW);
(b) Between 2.05pm and 2.15pm AEST (QLD);
(c) Between 12.05pm and 12.15pm AWST (WA);
(d) Between 2.35pm and 2.45pm ACDST (SA);
(d) Entrants are required to be onsite at the time of the draw in their Relevant State to be eligible to receive an invitation to participate in the Challenge;
(e) Each successful entry that is drawn during each Draw in each Relevant State will receive one (1) invitation to participate in the Challenge.
*For the avoidance of doubt, Onsite Entrants may only enter at the Challenge Location in their Relevant State (i.e. Residents of Victoria may only enter at the designated Victorian Challenge Location and may not enter onsite at any other Challenge location in any other Relevant State).
There are a maximum of 250 Challenge places available for the Challenge with up to a maximum of 50 Challenge places being awarded in each Relevant State.

Maximum Number of Entries

One entry per person, per day during the Competition Period, however entrants may only receive one (1) invitation to participate in the Challenge each.

Challenge Details
Challenge details:
(a) Challengers (and their nominated companion) will be required to attend the Challenge Location in their Relevant State and register for the event within the time period specified in the Entry Restrictions to
participate in the Challenge.
(b) Each Challenger will be allocated a number (ranging from 1 to 250) as allocated by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion.
(c) Once allocated with a number Challengers will be required to sit in an inflatable pool with a beach ball labelled with their allocated number and in accordance with clauses (f) to (n) below.
(d) At various times throughout the Challenge, representatives of the Promoter will draw a number in accordance with the Draw Details and the Challenger with that allocated number, will be knocked out from the Challenge.
(e) This will continue until there is one number remaining in the Draw. The Challenger whose allocated number corresponds with the one remaining in the Draw, will be deemed the winner and will be awarded the Major Prize (so long as that Challenger complies with the remaining challenge requirements listed in clauses (f) to (n) below).
(f) The Challenger or the Challengerís nominated companion must remain seated in their allocated pool whilst holding their allocated numbered beach ball for the first hour and a half of the Challenge or until their number is called, whichever is earlier (as determined by the Promoter). If for any reason during this time, if neither the Challenger or the Challengerís friend are in the pool (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion), the Challenger will be disqualified from the Challenge and will not be eligible to win any Prize.
(g) In the event that a Challengerís nominated companion is unable to attend the Challenge the Challenger may elect to participate in the Challenge without them (Challengerís do so at their own risk). However should a Challenger without a nominated companion require a break during the first hour and a half of the Challenge, a representative of the Promoter may be made available for the Challenger to use as a nominated participant on their behalf, however such offer is subject to reasonable staff availability (as determined by the Promoter) and the Promoter takes no responsibility should the Challengerís ability to participate in the Promotion be effected by this clause (g).
(h) During the final 30 minutes of the Challenge (as determined by the Promoter) all remaining Challengers must personally remain in the pool (no nominated companion may take their place) during the final 30 minutes of the Challenge in order to be eligible to be awarded the prize. If for any reason a Challenger is not in their pool during this time (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion), they will be disqualified from the Challenge and not be eligible to win any Prize.
(i) Should a Challenger refuse, or fail to satisfactorily complete the Challenge as specified above and as otherwise advised by the Promoter (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion), they will forgo any Prize and the Station will not be required to conduct the challenge again.
(j) The Stationís decision as to the result of the challenge is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
(k) The Promoter may, at its discretion, elect to disqualify a challenger at any time during the Challenge if that Challenger, in the Promoterís discretion, acts violently or in any way causes another Challenger to feel threatened or intimidated, acts inappropriately or causes distress to another person.
(l) Challengerís must, at all times during the Challenge, act in accordance with these conditions of entry or as otherwise instructed by the Promoter; including wearing any safety equipment provided by the

Promoter.
(m) The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any entrant the right to participate in the Challenge for any reason but in particular if the Promoter is of the opinion that an entrant is not physically fit or capable of participating in the Challenge, or if the entrant is unwilling or unprepared to participate in the Challenge. The Promoterís decision regarding entrant/s participation in the Challenge is final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
(n) The Stationís decision as to the result of the challenge is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
(o) In addition to the above and at various times during the Challenge, representatives of the Promoter may elect to award a Minor Prize to a Challenger who has been knocked out. The selection of Minor Prize winnerís is at the Promoterís sole and absolute discretion and no correspondence shall be entered into.

*Venues are subject to change at the Promoterís discretion and Challengers will be notified accordingly.
Entrants must register for the Challenge at the Challenge Location in their Relevant State between the following times;
(a) 2pm and 3pm AEDST (VIC & NSW); (b) 1pm and 2pm AEST (QLD);
(c) 11am and 12midday AWST (WA); (d) 1.30pm and 2.30pm ACDST (SA);

Judging Criteria

Each valid Web Entry will be individually judged (by representatives of the Promoter) based on, among other things;
(a) appeal for radio;
(b) capability of the entrant to participate in the Challenge on the Challenge
Date; and
(c) consistency with the Stationís style of irreverence and humour.

Draw Details
Draws will be conducted between 4pm and 6pm AEDST on Friday 25th January 2013 at Nova 100, Lvl 2/678 Victoria Street, Richmond VIC 3121.
*Up to a maximum of 249 Draws will be conducted (dependent upon the final number of Challengers participating in the Challenge) until one (1) number remains in the Draw.
Prize Details
Minor prizes
There are up to 10 minor prizes to be won, as follows:
Minor prize: A Nova Ďgoodie bagí with various prizing including CDís, movie tickets and concert tickets valued at up to $200.00 (inc GST)
*For event based components of the Minor Prize, please note that dates, venues and schedules are not under the Promoterís control and are subject to change and the Promoter takes no responsibility for any date, venue or schedule changes.
Major prize
There is up to 1 major prize to be won, as follows:
Major prize:
- Return economy class flights for 2 from winnerís nearest Australian capital city to Honolulu, Hawaii, including;
- All airline and airport taxes
- Return private transfers from airport to accommodation
- 5 nights, minimum 4* accommodation twin share (as determined by the Promoter)
- 2-hour private surfing lesson for 2 adults
- Paradise Cove Luau including traditional Hawaiian Luau dinner, selected beverages and Luau entertainment
- AUD $1000.00 spending money Valued at up to $10,000 (inc GST)
Terms & Conditions of Travel:
Travel must be completed before 25 January 2014 and is subject to availability and blackout periods (including all Australian and State Public Holidays and School Holiday periods).
Prize is subject to all restrictions as set by the airlines and prize providers.
Visas, valid passports, additional spending money, meals, additional activities and any other ancillary costs, including but not limited to insurance and any applicable insurance excesses, not listed in the Prize Details above are the responsibility of the winner and his/her nominated companion as incurred.
It is the winner's responsibility to organise transport to/from the airport departure/return point. Winner is responsible for any amendments fees issued by airlines or suppliers once booking is confirmed
The Promoter takes no responsibility for loss or injury suffered by a winner as a result of taking the Prize. The Promoter recommends winners have valid travel insurance for their period of travel and adequate for the countries of travel.
No portion of the Prize is redeemable for cash. The Prize is not refundable or transferable.
The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade issues travel warnings and updates for travellers. The Promoter recommends that winners consult www.smarttraveller.com.au for advice and information prior to undertaking travel.

Publication Details

Winners of prizes valued at over $250.00 (inc GST) will be published in The Australian on Wednesday 30th of January, 2013.

Prize Claim Date and Time

Minor Prizes and the Major Prize must be claimed by Friday 26 April 2013.

Unclaimed Prize Draw Date and Publication Date

The unclaimed prize draw will be conducted on Monday 29 April 2013 between 10.00am and 11.00am AEST at Nova 100, Lvl 2/678 Victoria Street, Richmond VIC 3121.
Any winners of prizes valued at over $250.00 (inc GST) in the unclaimed prize draw will be published in The Australian on Monday 6th of May 2013.

Prize Delivery
Minor prize/s may be collected by winners from the Challenge Location or from the Station in the winnerís Relevant State should winnerís be unable to take their Minor Prize at the Challenge.
The major prize will be provided to the major prize winner by the prize provider by the Station. The Station will contact the Major Prize winner to provide details of how to claim the Major Prize.

Disappointed I just found out that my husband missed a message on his phone that he was one of the finalists for this in Brisbane and then I got really bummed when I found out the winner was also from Brisbane! Bugger could have been us...LOL
