Terms and conditions
Information on “how to enter” and prizes form part of the conditions of entry. Entry into this competition deems acceptance of these terms and
conditions. Entrants need to subscribe to the That’s Melbourne eNewsletter between 12am Monday 12 January 2008 and 12am Sunday 25 January 2009 as a
condition of entry.
Entry is open to all residents of Australia over 18 years of ages except employees and immediate families of the Promoter, associated companies and
agencies and participating outlets. The Promoter is the City of Melbourne, 240 Little Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.
The competition commences on 12/01/2008 at 12am and closes on 25/01/2009 at 12:00am AEDST. The winner will be selected randomly at the independent
third party by 26/01/2009 by midday.
The total value of this prize as of 07/01/2009 is $522. The winner will receive two Season One ’09 subscriptions to Malthouse Theatre including
associated Malthouse discounts and offers. The winner must redeem their subscription by January 31 2009. Performances are subject to availability.
Once a subscription has been allocated to desired performances, ticket exchanges will incur a fee.
Only one prize will be awarded for the entire promotion. Incomprehensible, illegible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid. All subscriptions
become the property of the Promoter.
Only one entry per person.
If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value,
subject to State regulation.
It is the condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s
requirements. Each prize must be take as state and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize as stated.
If the Promoter is unable to contact the winner to claim fulfillment of the promotional prize by 27/01/2009 at 12.00pm AEDST, that winner will forfeit
the prize in its entirety and it shall be award to the first runner up in the promotion. The Promoter will not be liable for a winner who cannot be
contacted and therefore forfeits their prize and no correspondence shall be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to
provide proof of identity, proof of residency, proof of age at the nominated prize delivery address in order to claim the prize. Proof of identity,
proof of residency, proof of age considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide
suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
The Promoter reserves the right to re-judge in the event of an entrant, claiming to be a winner, being unable to satisfy these Terms and Conditions.
No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected subscriptions. Prizes are subject to availability, not transferable or exchangeable and
cannot be taken as cash. Prize will be sent to winner’s nominated address. The Promoter and their associated agencies, and companies associated with
this promote will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
A valid return street address must be provided for ease of correspondence. The Promoter makes all reasonable efforts to deliver letter and prizes to
the address provided by winning entrant. Any such letters or prizes returned to the Promoter for whatever reason become the property of the Promoter
and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter and their associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to
consequential loss) or claim that may occur during the promotion; whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the
promotion; in the participating in any prize; as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail.
The prize is not transferable and is not redeemable for cash or exchange.
The winner will be notified by phone. Winner’s name will not be published online for privacy reasons.
All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the promoter. The Promoter collects personal information
about entrants to include entrants in the promotion. If the personal information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the
promotion. By participating in the Promotion, each entrant also acknowledges that a further primary purpose for collection of entrants personal
information by the Promoter is to enable the Promoter to use the information to assist the Promoter to contact the entrants in the future with
information on special offers or to provide marketing materials via any medium including, but not limited to, mail, Telephone and commercial
electronic messages.
By entering the promotion, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may use entrants’ personal information in this manner.
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered, including but not limited to direct or consequential loss, or personal
injury suffered or sustained during the course of the prize winning trips or in connection with the redemption of and/o use of any other prizes. Any
change in the value of the prize occurring between the publishing date and the date the prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
