“Valentine’s Day” Game 2009

is organizing an online contest that is free of charge and without obligation to
purchase, from 2 February 2009 12:00 am Paris (France) time to 22 February
2009 at 11:59 pm, Paris (France) time.
Article 2: PARTICIPATION
This contest is open to the following countries
Members of the staff of the organizing companies and their families (same
surname, same address) are not eligible.
Participation in the contest supposes unreserved acceptance of the present rules
and all their provisions, as well as of current rules of Internet ethics and of laws
and regulations applicable to free contests.
Failure to abide by the conditions set forth in these rules will result in the
automatic disqualification of the entrant.
Article 3: ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE CONTEST
The contest will be announced by means of banners on all Air France websites
and in the newsletter.
It may also be announced in other ways such as via ads on partner websites.
The contest can only be accessed over the Internet at the following

The participant or “sender” plays by challenging the partner of his/her choice or

3/ sends a message to the partner or “recipient”
4/ gives the email address of the partner or “recipient”
5/ confirms his/her participation in the contest
The partner or “recipient” receives an email inviting him/her to play the
Valentine’s Day game.
To access the game, he/she clicks on the link given and once on the website, fills
in his/her email address.
The partner then answers the questions about the participant or “sender”. The
final score appears once he/she has answered the 5 questions.
The sender only is the contest participant. The purpose of the contest is to have
a chance to win 2 air tickets.
Participation of the sender is validated if the partner or “recipient” correctly
answers the 5 questionsasked by the sender.
Article 5: DESIGNATION OF WINNERS
A random draw will take place the 10th March 2009, at 1pm AEST at Air France,
Level 13, 115 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000. The winners will be notified either
by phone, email or post. Winner's names of the promotional period will be
published in the Australian the 12th March 2009.
No list of winners shall be given out by telephone or by mail.
Article 6: NUMBER OF TRIES PERMITTED
Incomplete or inexact registrations will not be considered and will disqualify the

Article 7: PRIZES
The 2 round-trip tickets making up one prize for 2 people must be booked and
used on the same Air France flights. These tickets must be used by the winner
only and are subject to specific conditions. Two (2) return Economy class tickets
to Paris or any European destination served by Air France from Adelaide,
Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney, via Singapore or Hong Kong.
Travel from Australia to Singapore or Hong Kong is in Economy class basis and is
operated by Qantas (as part of a code-share agreement with Air France).
Travel from Singapore or Hong Kong to Paris is in Economy Class basis and is
operated by Air France. Travel must commence prior to 31 December 2009. No
extension on travel dates will be granted. Any stopover in Paris may not exceed
Only the cost of transport will be borne by Air France.
All airport taxes shall be paid by the winners. All other expenses incurred by the
winners shall be paid by them. No change may be made in the booking date
after ticket issuance.
Bookings are subject to V class availability at the time of reservation. Tickets are
strictly non transferable, non refundable and non upgradeable. Frequent flyers
points will not be awarded on this airfare. The winners and persons travelling
with them who belong to the programme may not accrue Miles on their prize

working days prior to intended dates of travel to process your reservation.
Confirmation will be subject to seat availability. Tickets won may be utilised in
any season and travel must commence prior the 31 December 2009. Prize
winner letter will be posted to the winner at the Australian address provided on
the entry form.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes
are not exchangeable or transferable for cash.
The winner and the person travelling with him/her must travel together on the
outbound and return flight.
The winner is responsible for travel expenses from domicile to the departure
ARTICLE 8: ATTRIBUTION OF PRIZES
Informing winners and confirming prizes:
The winners shall be informed of their prize by email.
If the winner does not make him/herself known within 90 days of the draw,
he/she shall be considered to have refused the prize. Winners must abide by the
contest rules. If one of the winners does not meet the criteria of the present
rules, the prize shall not be attributed to him/her and shall remain the property
of Air France.
AIR FRANCE will retain the prizes until the winner claims them. In the event that
the prizes are unclaimed three (3) months after the drawing of the lottery, the
gambling ministers of the states will be notified in writing with respect to such
prizes and the circumstances in which they have remained unclaimed. The
minister will then give written directions as to the disposal of such prizes. Such
directions may include permission to conduct a further draw for the disposal of
unclaimed prizes. The redraw will take place the 9th June 2009 at 1pm AEST at
Air France Level 13, 115 Pitt Street Sydney NSW 2000. Winner's names of the
promotional period will be published the day after the applicable draw in the

Prizes may under no circumstances be returned or exchanged for their value in
money or for any other prize, nor transferred to a third party. However, in cases
of force majeure or if warranted by circumstances, Air France reserves the right
at any time to substitute other prizes of equivalent value for the announced

Winners agree to hold Air France harmless with regard to the prizes and in
particular to their delivery, condition and quality.
Article 9: CHANGES IN CONTEST DATES
Air France waives all liability in the event that, due to force majeure or to events
beyond its control, it is obliged to cancel this contest or to shorten or extend its
length, to postpone it or to change its conditions. Subject to written directions
from the State Regulatory Lottery Offices.
Article 10: VERIFICATION OF PARTICIPANTS’ IDENTITY
All entries become the property of the Promoter. All entries will be entered into a
database and the Promoter may use the entrants' names, addresses, telephone
numbers for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
Participants agree to any verification needed of their identity and their place of
residence. Any indication of falsified, fraudulent, false, misleading, incorrect, or
inexact information regarding identity or address shall automatically disqualify

Air France may not be held liable in the event of a dysfunction on the Internet,
preventing access to the game or its smooth running. In particular, Air France
may not be held liable for any external acts of Internet abuse.
While Air France shall do all in its power to provide users with information and/or

(particularly in display on contest websites), or for the absence of availability of
information and/or the presence of a virus on the website. Participation in the
contest implies knowledge and acceptance of the characteristics and limitations
of the Internet, the absence of protection of certain data provided against
possible misuse or piracy, and the risks of contamination by viruses circulating
on the Internet. Each participant must take the appropriate precautions to
protect his/her own data and/or software on his/her computer or telephone
equipment from any kind of attack. All persons connecting to the website and
participating in the contest shall do so at their own risk.
Furthermore, Air France is not responsible in the event of:
- problems with telephone connections,
- hardware or software problems,
- destruction for reasons not attributable to Air France of data provided by
- human or electrically-caused errors,
- disturbances that might affect the smooth running of the contest or
dysfunctions in the automated draw process.
Air France shall not be held liable for the consequences of any delay in email for
which it is not responsible. Any claims must be sent by the recipient directly to

Air France will decide any questions relative to the application of these rules, in
full respect of Australian legislation. Its decisions shall be final.
Any dispute or claim relative to this contest must be formulated in writing and

date of the contest.

a stopover in Paris may not exceed 24 hours only means, they fly into Paris from Asia and then on to your chosen destination (Marseille eg.). between
incoming and outgoing flight may not be more than 24hrs, otherwise it's not considered a stopover (sorry, travel agent terms...)
