Heart of Gold Competition

The Noosa Journal has 10 double passes to give away to sessions at the Heart of Gold Film Festival in Gympie next week (March 25-29).

There are 5 double passes for the session on Saturday, March 28, at 2.30pm, with the documentary, Changing A Mind, about a mother who does the impossible and finds a treatment for her son who has Down Syndrome, dramatically improving his IQ and quality of life.

There are also 5 double passes to the session on Thursday, March 26, at 2.30pm, featuring the documentaries Cards, Letters and Prayers, about 62-year-old political activist Ron Ring, from his days as a gifted architecture student in New York, his political activities during the 1960s and 1970s, and his struggles with poverty and schizophrenia; and Courthouse Girls of Farmland, about seven senior women in a small town in America’s heartland who get up from their bridge club table to make a bold and controversial statement about historic preservation.


Both sessions will screen in the Fossicker’s Room, Gympie Civic Centre, Mellor St, Gympie. Each pass is valued at $20.

Winners will be notified and can pick up their tickets before the session, from the Heart of Gold Box Office, Gympie Civic Centre, Mellor St, Gympie

Eligible Entrants will be automatically entered into a random draw from all the valid entries received during the Promotion Period. The Prize Draw will be held at Suite 9, Plaza Central, 31-33 Plaza Parade, Maroochydore. QLD 4558 4.30pm (AEDST) on Thursday 26th March 2009 at the Maroochydore Office for the purposes of verifying and facilitating the prize draw.

6.The Promoter takes no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate information supplied via internet. It is the responsibility of entrants to provide clear, correct and accurate contact details.

12.In the event of a promoter other than Quest Community Newspapers canceling any event related to this prize, Quest Community Newspapers cannot be held responsible.

13.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected mail.

14.If the prize is unable to be taken then a second draw will be conducted. No correspondence will be entered into and the Promoters’ decision as the judge, on any aspect of the competition is final and binding on all participants.
