To enter the promotion via online, participants must visit www.tahdforlife.com.au and answer the following question in 25 words or less “Why are you Tah’d for Life?”
The two entries judged the best at each of the judging dates is an Online Qualifier and will be immediately contacted and asked to participate in the Tah’d for Life Challenge at half time at the next Waratahs home game.
If any of the Online Qualifiers cannot be contacted by 5pm the following day, the third best entry will be contacted and asked to participate in the Tah’d for Life Challenge, and so on.
To enter the promotion via SMS, Waratahs home game (“Home Game”) spectators are required to be wearing a blue item of clothing and to send their name in an SMS message to 199 888 55.
SMS entries will be accepted between 5.30pm and 7.45pm at each Home Game on Friday 20 February 2009, Friday 27 February 2009, Friday 6 March 2009, Saturday 21 March 2009, Saturday 4 April and Saturday 11 April 2009. All of the Home Games are held at the Sydney Football Stadium except for the Home Game on Saturday 21 March 2009, which takes place at ANZ Stadium.
The first two entries drawn will be SMS Qualifiers and will be contacted immediately to participate in the Tah’d for Life Challenge at half time at that Home Game.
If the drawn entries cannot be immediately contacted, then further draws will take place until a suitable winner is contacted.
The two Online Qualifiers and two SMS Qualifiers drawn before and at each Home Game will compete in an obstacle course competition called the “Tah’d for Life Challenge” at half time at the Home Games on Friday 20 February 2009, Friday 27 February 2009, Friday 6 March 2009, Saturday 21 March 2009, Saturday 4 April and Saturday 11 April 2009. The winner of the Tah’d for Life Challenge at each of the Home Games will be a Finalist and will compete for the Major Prize.
Each of the six (6) Semi-Finalists will compete for the Major Prize at the Waratahs v Western Force game at the Sydney Football Stadium on Saturday 18 April 2009. The Semi-Finalists will complete in an obstacle course competition called the “Tah’d for Life Challenge Final” and the winner will receive the Major Prize.
Major Prize: There is 1 x major prize available to entrants. The major prize includes 2 x return economy airfares from winners nearest Australian capital city to Durban, 4 nights’ accommodation twin share (in a minimum 3 star hotel), travel insurance, 2 x tickets to the HSBC British and Irish Lions v South Africa rugby union test match (including hospitality) on 20 June 2009 at ABSA Stadium and transfers to and from the match. The major prize is valued at a maximum of AU$20,000.
Semi-Finalist Prizes: There are 6 x Semi-Finalist prizes of AU$500 in a HSBC Online Savings Account.
Minor-Prizes: There are 24 x Minor Prizes. Each Online Qualifier and SMS Qualifier will receive a 2009 HSBC Waratahs Pack, including a players cap, a weekend sac, poster, stress ball, sticker and other promotional items valued at AU$50.
