New York accommodation
I’ll be in New York for about 3 nights in June - does anyone have any tips for a reasonable/convenient place to stay? It’s accommodation for 2. My
friends were recently duped by booking into a place over $300 a night that was disgustingly dirty, so just thought I would ask here for any advice.
Thanks! |

we have been to NYC a few times and last time stayed twice at https://www.cambrianycchelsea.com/en-us
It was great. Reasonable price, located in the flower district, near a couple of whole food supermarkets and close to a number of subway stations,
empire state and various other attractions. Every morning the city's florists would come to the district to collect flowers from the various
specialist stores.
It is the only place I have ever had a tip refused and a benefit given instead. When we arrived the first time, because I joined their loyalty club,
I was offered a coaster (nice ceramic souvenir) that entitled me to two drinks for the price of one at the roof top bar. The TV in our room stopped
working and I called reception to get it fixed. The fellow hadn't arrived within 30 minutes so I called again. (He had been out at home depot lol).
When he fixed the tv I offered him a tip and he refused. He mentioned that the hotel had roof top jazz at 4pm and suggested we go. I said we would.
He came up to the bar and gave me two more coasters!!!
Very friendly staff, nice rooms that are still small but have a fridge, microwave and a sofa area.
Highly recommend |

Lots of people here in Lottos been to NY so I'm sure you'll get lots of great recommendations.
When we were there a couple of years ago, we stayed in a midtown hotel, The Lexington. Beautiful, clean hotel with great artwork everywhere. We even
had a plaque in our room saying Marilyn Monroe stayed there. And we stayed there just before the US Open tennis and a couple of tennis players checked
in on our last day. |

https://hiltongardeninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels/new-york/hilto... - we stayed here.
It is across the road from the Greyhound tours nyc and walking distance to lots of attractions. They have a restaurant downstairs that does a great
breakfast. There's also a dinner across the road that Kathleen Turner (Indiana Jones) has visited . The hotel is very close to Times Square without having the noise of Times Square. The New Amsterdam theatre is
sensational and well worth seeing a show at. http://newamsterdamtheatre.com |

We've been to New York three times and each time we've stayed at Novotel New York Times Square and it is a wonderful hotel - the rooms are generous
and the breakfast is very good and the outdoor bar looks down towards Times Square and is fantastic. Its just far enough from Times Square to not be
noisy but close enough to have a view of it.
Have fun!
Good luck

My daughter and I were in New York last month and we stayed at Hotel Wellington in a 2 bedroom suite which was huge - very reasonable rates for New
York (everything is expensive there!). Really nice little hotel. Not far from Times Square and walking distance to Rockefella Centre and lots of other
sights. |

I stayed in this chain in Paris and always wanted to stay when in New York. It is very cute 'cabins' with everything run by provided tablet (lights,
heat, tv etc). You get 10% off if you are a member. It seems close to everything.
