Random chat thread
IS there still a thread? If not this might be a start without having to have a whole lot of separate threads.
My morning thoughts while I am self social isolating
Time does not slow down when you are stuck oat home or when getting older. In fact it seems to speed up
While there will always be some silly people on social media, I'd like to see more of a sense of responsibility from our NEWS media and fewer click
bait heading on their pages. The Aussies 'jumping ship' headings is a good example. A complete misuse of the phrase.
There is nothing on offer that I really want to win. I have resorted to baking. Social self isolating is going to be fattening!!!
There are awful stories of financial struggle and headship and of selfish people shopping with aggression, BUT there are also truly inspirational
stories, which we should focus on. I hope this change in society may help people find a new love of reading, ways to interact with family, discover
the joy of hobbies, walking as exercise (with no group activity), a reassessment of what is important in life.
Now I am going to make sausage rolls with apple and sage!

Great idea, 'gr82do'! Definitely less to enter for me at the moment.
I am concerned also about gaining weight during this isolation, which is ironic as we couldn't get any meat at the shops yesterday, but I had been
thinking about doing some baking too. At least we have a treadmill and stationary bike so will use those, and we can still go out for walks in the
sunshine.

I made ice cream to day with the grandson. Just mix condensed milk, frozen fruit and cream. Maybe add a dash of vanilla. We have made mango and add
some Greek yoghurt as it was too sweet for grandma. ( For got to tell Grumps not to use ALL the condensed milk unless do double quantity) You can't
really kill it though.

It's Mr Blossoms 75th birthday on Sunday, we'll be partying as a twosome ... I managed to get the last of his favourite food ... so on Sunday "The
Lighthouse Restaurant" will be popping up ... and over the next few months, it will feature a new cuisine (whenever I'm not painting our house, our
alternate planned stress-busting activity) I can't wait to hear about the delicious & as time goes on "out of the box" what-ever's left in the
pantry ... food combinations, I'm thinking, fusion food is going to be this years "Big Thing" (or should that be confusion food ) either way, we need to keep up our spirits up and compers are great at that, the
road is long, but the storm will pass & the sun will shine again
P.S. and if the comps dry up ... we'll just have to invent our own !!! |

As I did self-isolation after our trip and now practicing social distancing (or as my husband keeps saying social gathering ??? ....he seems to think
that it's because it means that as we gather we keep 1.5metres apart ), I've
also been baking more and can feel the kg's creeping on as I type . I don't
have to worry about flour though as I actually have a stash of cake/muffin/slice mixes in anticipation of an upcoming morning tea. Sigh more for me.
On a positive note I am beach walking a bit more . Then I come home, put the
kettle on and grab cake |

Gibbo's
trying to sort the look of her FB page.
In my boredom yesterday I wrote a note on the KenKay FB page when it popped up. I mentioned that I bought the product first time ever, bodywash, just
the enter their recent comp, but found I love it and although I didn't win, I will continue to purchase.
Lo and behold, today they msm me and offered a hamper of their products if I'd be happy to review them. Now that's a sort of win.

Thought I'd better do something more constructive than obsessive virus article reading and eating so I cleaned out my bathroom cabinets. Upshot is
that I found a pile of sample masks..... guess what I'll be doing while I obsessively read and eat
At the end of all this I may be a little rounder but I'll have smoother, tighter, brighter, dewier, glowing skin! |

Me three! I thought I'd sold all my Aqium at our garage sale last October, but this morning I was looking for something in my very full bathroom
cabinet and found 4 little bottles of Aqium! Woo Hoo! Can't believe how excited I was. |

My friends can't believe how many little bottles of Aquim my family have! Kids all have 1 in their school bag, I have 2 in my handbag and 1 on my
desk. I never though we would use it all.....,.but I reckon we will now! We still have multiple bottles in the "shop" in our bathroom, full of
comping product purchases! |

Same here MelsRose! I never thought in a million years I’d ever find a use for all those little bottles of Aqium, yet Lo and behold....here we are...
Hubby also found a stashed jumbo packet of toilet paper in our ‘comping cupboard’ which I’d bought a few months back for a Foodland comp. It was
almost like we’d won the lottery as I thought we were almost out! |

I'm using my stash of Ayam and other pantry products, rather than shopping.
870 cases now and doubling 3ever 3-4 days. We will work our way through the pantry stores before we venture into a crowded supermarket.
