As a teacher I have marked a lot of attendance rolls over the years and strangely there are several surnames that I have never encountered before???
Curiousity got the better of me that I even searched some names on ancestry.com. Some names they didn't have a record of?
Also how strange that there are so few SA winners? Hmmm, interesting |

I've done some googling/searching online. I selected about 30 names, some of which looked like names I've seen before as comp winners. I did not find
a single winner of this comp (of the sample of 30) that appeared in a winners list for any other comp. And when I searched the names that I thought
might be compers because I'd seen that name on a winners list before, either the first initial or the state didn't match. It just doesn't make any
sense.
I'm going to do a little experiment. I've already entered 4 times with no wins. But this weekend I'm going to buy 2 more products and enter in my
brother's name. He's not a comper and his name (different surname to me) doesn't appear on winners lists. Two isn't a very big test sample, but it
would be interesting to see if he wins a prize and I don't.
BTW, 2 more draws were conducted today. That's 40 more winners. I wonder if any of us will be contacted as winners of one of these 2 draws this coming
week? |

In recent months there have been numerous comps, with the same winners, winning many, many times. None of those names seem to be on the list. Maybe
they didn’t enter, but after googling one of the names, and reading a newspaper article on one of her wins, I think she would have entered.

Maybe someone could send her a message on Facebook asking if she entered (if people were curious) |

She said she bought 3 pies a day for months! Thats a lot of money to spend on one comp but good luck to her it paid off, don’t think I could eat that
many pies for a win though. |

Another theory is that maybe they are using a winners list from another country and just adding Australian states. I know it’s out there as far as
theories go, but this is a very strange comp |

Don't think this is the case as names are matching up with winners in each state (well, the ones I have googled are). I've messaged one of the
"winners" on Facebook 'congratulating her' on her win and asking how many entries she put in. Will be interesting if I get a response. |

I agree HappyGirl72 and my theory on why this comp is a mess. The toasters probably ordered from China, now can't be landed in Australia due to
unforeseen circumstances, the promoters could have been open and honest and proceeded with legitimate draws and awarded winners a $100 eftpos card per
validated win, most of us would have accepted that, but instead they take our money think we're all stupid, well I will never buy another Ferrero
product ever.
For the record, I entered twice daily for the first 10 days and was hoping to win a few toasters to gift to kids and grandkids for Christmas so they
all knew I was thinking of them while in isolation.

With my tin foil hat on here.
It's a AU$248,800.00 prize pool and in this current environment of companies struggling and cost cutting everywhere. Obviously they would of budgetted
for it but a qtr of a mill would be a nice cash injection to your bottom line. Of course this idea flies right out of the window as soon as we have a
few winners on here. But until we do, my conspiracy hat is staying on, haha. |

I am in VIC, but if anyone in NSW, ACT or SA wants to contact the authority issuing permits for this comp, it would be helpful. I think an
investigation to ensure all T&C's are being followed is needed to sort this out. Main questions being: Are the draws being held on time and on
dates as per the schedule? If so, to provide EVIDENCE that each winner HAS ALREADY BEEN 'notified by email within 2 business days', and a copy/number
of the code to claim the toaster (If that is the method) to match each name.
If not, WHY not, and WHY have they not contacted the authority if any problems? Excuses are not reasons.
NSW Permit No. LTPS/19/40487. ACT Permit No. TP19/04790. SA Permit No.
T19/2044.
Down side is the Authorities are often as bad, if not worse than Promoters, but worth a try. |

Funny you mention that, because I noticed that the toasters that were sent to the "influencers" to do their advertising for them (ie. on Nutella's and
Smeg Australia highlights on their instagram pages) do not appear to have the Nutella branding on them as they should have - they seem to have been
sent regular Smeg toasters.
I have also seen people being a bit surprised no winners have come forward publicly to say they have won a toaster. Their response -
"We've had 300 winners so far but sometimes it takes a while for people to check their emails to know they've won! We have received a few private
messages on Facebook which has been lovely. Hopefully they've just been celebrating so much they haven't gotten around to posting."
Maybe we will start seeing new/fake accounts start popping up soon claiming they have won a toaster, to try to alleviate some of the suspicion/doubt.
I don't know, something is very off with this comp. |

4 entries no wins.
My Mum had 2
My daughter had 3
What are the chances we have had ZERO lottos winners. I'd say NO chance - seems similar to the odds of winning a prize in this competition.

Currently it says at the top of the page that 151 Lottoers have entered...
Let’s say hypothetically each entrant has entered 3 times (some would have entered more, some less), that equates to over 450 entries between us, and
that just the ones that have marked it as entered.
With 20 prizes a day I find that almost impossible to believe there’s not been one lottos winner. |

read again and it seems they have changed the post to read that they have had many entries. ???? Im abit over this one!! |

My reply from Facebook Nutella
"We can confirm that winners of our current Stay Toasty promotion must be able to provide proof of purchase (receipts) as per our terms and
conditions. 🙂 - The Nutella Team"
How would you interpret "must be"?

So I decided to Facebook message a winner on the list from SA with a surname I thought wasn't very common so definitely had to be this person.
I wrote to her that her name was on the Nutella competition winners list to win a Smeg appliance and asked if she even entered the competition.
She replied: I entered but have heard NOTHING about winning
I said: How many times did you enter comp and when
She replied: A few weeks ago...i don't remember exactly and only 1 entry
On the winners list it stated she won on the 8th May and T&C's state winners notified within 2 days of draw - so this definitely isnt happening.
However, this does seem like a legitimate winner.

I entered 5 times when comp started, zilch.
All sounds very scammy to me.
Surely their is a regulator of competitions of sorts?
If doing the wrong thing, they should be held accountable. |

I've entered 5 times in the first couple of days and heard nothing as well. I've never seen this place as much of a ghost town in terms of winners for
a competition this popular, especially for a competition offering 20 prizes per day! |

Although the winners list for this comp does look a little dodgy, we do have to remember that these highly publicised product competitions attract
thousands and thousands more entries than usual, because people who are usually non-compers are entering in their droves. (eg. Coke comps with codes
on the labels can attract millions off entries!)
Off the top of my head I can think of 4 big product comps running right now that no Lottos member has claimed a win. The first 2 have the comp
advertised on the product encouraging anyone to enter. The other 2 have shelf tags to encourage entry, and the Woolworths comp is automatic entry if
you scan your card.
- Nutella
- Cadbury
- Woolworths Big Night In
- Ritchies Gold Rush
Also keep in mind that many members don't disclose their wins publicly on this forum.
My concern for the Nutella comp is that there may be some cheating going on, or the promoter may be deliberately discarding entries from known
compers. |
