Another question on W/W Rewards auto entry
I’m not a receipt splitter for shopping and comps but am wondering if multiple comps with an auto entry would register or just the first product that
gets scanned.
For example today I purchased Fairy and Heinz for comps. As per the other W/W rewards thread, having nothing on the receipt doesn’t confirm entries.
Any opinions? |

Good question. In an ideal Comping world, you would think they would, and should both register. Without anything on the receipt, how on earth do you
know? Seems they are allergic to using extra receipt paper to print a 'you have successfully entered' message. Their Marketing people really need to
get their act together and run their comps consistently and properly. Even for those who don't know they have an entry in, a message on the receipt,
if noticed, might prompt them to purchase again, resulting in more sales. Even an email after entry would be nice to confirm. Does not make you want
to buy more when you get no acknowledgement. |

Clover this question has played on my mind also over the last year or so, when "swipe for auto entry" became popular for WW.
Logic says, if the correct items are purchased, they SHOULD be entered into each individual competition.
However, I recall in the past, there have been some "swipe to enter" WW comps and you only got one message on your receipt, regardless of how many
more times you purchased after that transaction THAT DAY. In those instances (in my opinion) one purchase per day was what their computer was
programmed to receive.... per rewards card.
This makes me wonder the same about all the "swipe to enter" comps. Are we wasting our money doing several purchases for different comp entries on
one receipt? Perfect example is right now, we have 2 x Heinz and 1 x Fairy and 2 x Coke) Should we do three different transactions? OR should we do
three different days to make our purchases?
If anyone has any insight into how the WW entry process is programmed, it would certainly be a help to know if we had actually entered, when there is
more than one comp purchase entry on one receipt.

Lets see if the Computer bots can pick this up, so Woolies, and especially their marketing people see it:

Well said Snazzie
Half-baked amateur and seemingly un-tested system.
Woolies not to giving customers the courtesy of providing a confirmation for every valid comp entry & individual bonus points earnt on every
separate item on an in-store or home delivery receipt is pretty rude.
What a simple procedure it would be to show the list of comps entered on the Rewards website (different site to the Woolies site). Would that really
be asking too much? No.
A confusing, unclear system based on loyal customers parting with their money is not good for business for very long.

I just got a sms to say I had entered a Woolies comp via purchase and swiping Rewards card and won 2nd prize. Scam of course.
Prize wins 2014: $37680
Prize wins 2011: $13000
previous years about $25000
The harder you work the luckier you get

I agree with you itspossible. In the past I have entered 2 or 3 separate receipts (one after the other) for a particular competition "presuming" that
I would be entered 2 or 3 times. However, only the FIRST receipt acknowledged my entry and there was absolutely nothing on the other receipts. I am
of the opinion that you can only enter once per day because of the way they have set up their system to register entries. Very annoying method of
entry ... you spend you money and don't even know for sure (unless you win ... and I never have) that you are even entered. |
