Losing Mojo For Travel Comps
In these COVID times, I don't want to enter any travel competitions. I think twice before entering to win tickets to any concerts or movies as I
really don't want to be in enclosed spaces with anyone in the near future.
I am going to be extremely selective in what I enter this year. Are others feeling the same way? Vaccinated or unvaccinated, I just don't feel like
spreading my wings this year at all. |

I don't even understand why promoters are even running them at all
More than likely, they will not be able to be used for who only knows how long
Zero interest and zero intention of wasting my time entering |

Same here KimmyWimmy. I had won 3 trips before and the beginning of all this and lost all 3 (one international and two local). Since then I haven't
bothered with comps that have travel prizes. Not only can't I bear to lose another one, but I don't want to go anywhere right now. It's just not
worth the risk for me.
I also don't enter for concerts, theatre, movies (apart from a few that I could give away).
And like you Sands, I don't get why promoters haven't dropped travel prizes. In this environment, they'd get a whole lot more interest with cash and
vouchers prizes, or swap that big trip for a car. However, I have noticed a lot more BBQ prizes. What else can we do but stay home and barbeque? |

I was never overly interested in the overseas holidays but liked the Australian holidays but I was never big on entering them as they always
stipulated that they were from your nearest capital city which with return flights to our nearest capital city it would of cost us more than the
holiday. Also living regionally more than half the movie tickets were wasted because the local cinema would only show some movies so I stopped
entering them too. With so much stuff moving online like shopping, schooling and catch-ups etc you would think there would be lots more comps for
things like iPads and computers as these things are consumables and after a few years you need to upgrade or they break, not to mention that they are
almost a staple as back to school. Over the MANY years I have been comping I have not won a BBQ or a TV despite entering every comp I see for one |

I agree with you all, zero interest in travelling. Would much prefer smaller prizes to share with family and cash/vouchers for me. |

Yep I don't bother with travel ones unless it's an airbnb voucher I can use to be far away from others in our own state.
My husband is immunocompromised and CAN'T be vaxxed anyway so .... no use me travelling without him.
Having said that I was as cautious as cautious can be and I have covid now. PCR yest confirmed
Double vaxxed too. |

Before Covid I targeted travel comps. (Was actually ona comp win to NZ when Covid hit. Lucky to get back before lockdown). Now I don’t even bother.
Frankly I’m bemused why promoters would have overseas trips as prizes these days…..especially cruises! No thanks. |

While some of us are not interested in travel comps any more, there's still plenty of us that are.
I just came across this comp listed on Lottos:
Cruise Passenger - Win a trip to Norway and experience the Northern Lights
Has to be taken between Nov 2022 & Feb 2023
Still has another week to go, and already 200 Lottos members have marked it as 'Entered' and 44 more have marked it as 'Visit Again/Follow Up'. |

I'm exactly the same and have been virtually since it started , with my health issues it is just not worth the risk, I hate even having to go
shopping.
I won a $500 Ticketek Voucher the end of 2019, have till the end of September to use it even though there has barely been any concerts in that time I
would not have gone.

So sorry to hear Snowpea, hopefully you have it lightly and your hubby misses getting it at all. Thoughts are with you both. |
