TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions apply for ‘Create Your Style Creative Beading Awards 2009’ presented by Crystal Park - (“Awards”)..
Information and guidelines on how to enter form part of the terms and conditions of entry. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in
determining the winners.
By submitting an entry in the competition, entrants warrant that they agree to be bound by and have read and understood these terms and conditions.
1. DURATION
The Awards will run between from Tuesday 01 January 00:01 (EST.) 2009 up to and including Wednesday 31 December 2009 (“Award Period”).
2. NATURE OF CONTEST
The Awards are a contest for beaded items including but not limited to jewellery, clothing, accessories or home wares. The beaded items must contain a
Swarovski Crystal Fashion Component. The beaded item may not contain glass components, including but not limited to beads, crystals and pearls (real
or imitation), which are a brand other than Swarovski. Beaded items may also contain other materials, findings textiles and effects.
Judging, other than the Voters Prize, will be based on the innovation, creativity and design.
3. METHOD OF ENTRY
Entries will only be accepted via the official contest entry procedure accessible at www.woodlandspublishing.com.au or www.crystalpark.com.au. The promoter takes no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries. No entry will be considered if entered
in a method other than via the official contest entry procedure on the internet.
Entry is open to permanent residents of Australia and New Zealand only.
Entries must be from individuals only (companies or corporations will be excluded)
Entrants many enter as many different beaded items as they which, but each individual beaded item may only be entered once.
Entries will be accepted up to and including Thursday 31st July 2009 (EST.) 23.00.
All entries will be uploaded at www.crystalpark.com.au for viewing
4. EXCLUSION OF PARTICIPANTS
The promoters reserve the right to remove from the awards, or participating in any prizes, entries which are deemed not to be within the guidelines,
are deemed a copy or not an original work, are in breach of another's copyright, or for any reason whatsoever.
5. JUDGING
Voters Choice
Individuals will be able to vote for his/her favourite entry via the "Voters Choice procedure at www.crystalpark.com.au. At the end of each month, namely 31st March 2009(EST) 23.00, 30th April 2009(EST) 23.00, 31st May 2009 (EST.) 23.00, 30th
June 2009 (EST.) 23.00 and 31st July 2009 (EST.) 23.00 a tally of the total will be carried out and the entry receiving the greatest number of votes
for that month will receive the Monthly Voters Choice prize.
All votes will be cleared and all entries from the month will be eligible for the following month's voting (excluding the monthly winners).
Monthly Voters Choice Prize:
12 month subscription to Creative Beading Magazine
The promoter takes no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected votes.
The voters prize winners will be notified by telephone and/or email within 5 days of the judging date
Major Prizes
Judging for the major prizes will be based on the innovation creativity and design. Each consideration will be given equal weight.
The 30 finalists will be notified on the Friday 8th August 2009 (EST.) prior to 17.00 via email and/or phone. These entrants will then be required to
forward the beaded item to the promoter of the award by the close of business Monday 18th August 2009. The Beaded item must be sent to the promoter in
an Australian Post Express Post Satchel and contain a return self addressed Express Post Satchel should the entrant require the beaded item to be
returned.
There will be 5 judges including a representative of the Design Team Swarovski Austria, a representative of the Business Management Swarovski
Australia, a representative of Crystal Park, a representative of Woodlands Publishing, and the winner or representative of the Swarovski Creative
Beading 2006 Awards of Excellence . All judges’ votes are equal.
The Major prize winners will be informed via an announcement published in Creative Beading Issue 4-2 December 2009 and online at www.crystalpark.com.au
In all matters, all decisions of the judges will be final and cannot be contested. No correspondence or discussions will be entertained.
6. PRIZE(s)
Major Prize
1st Place - Trip for 2 people to Austria . Includes economy airfares , airport transfers, 5 nights accommodation , breakfast . ( Air Land value $5000
).
Dinner with representatives of the Swarovski Design team , 2 tickets to Crystal World . Holiday must be taken by 31st December 2010
Winner will receive a Trophy designed by Swarovski plus $4000* Swarovksi Gift Pack.
Winning piece to be displayed displayed on cover of issue 4-4, December 2009.
Winning entrant to be profiled for an issue in 2009
Winning entrant will be invited to judge 2009 competition.

7. PUBLICITY
It is a condition of entry that Woodland Publishing has the right to publish or publicise the names and beaded item of any entrants for any promotion
or matter incidental to the awards .
The winner may also be required by Woodland Publishing to participate in a photo, video, recording and/or film session (“publicity materials”) and
acknowledges that Woodland Publishing has the right to use such publicity materials in any medium (including, without limitation, the internet and
magazine) and in any reasonable manner it sees fit.
8. INDEMNITY
To the extent permitted by law, all contestants release from, and indemnify Woodland Publishing Pty Ltd (ACN 115 093 162 ) (“Creative Beading”)
against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the awards including (but not limited to)
loss of income, loss of opportunity, personal injury and damage to property, whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act
or omission or otherwise.
9. COPYRIGHT
All photography used in this competition is copyright to Woodlands Publishing and cannot be reproduced in part or full in any other competition or
publication without written permission from Woodlands Publishing Pty Ltd . All entrants must undertake to Woodland Publishing that their entry is not
in breach of any third party intellectual property rights.
10. PRIZES NON TRANSFERABLE
In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the promoter then that element of
the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize. The promoter takes no responsibility for
any changes in the value of the prizes from the time of writing the terms & conditions.
11. TAXES
Winners will be responsible for any and all taxes incurred in relation to their receipt of their prize(s). Winners should seek independent financial
advice prior to accepting a prize if this is a concern.
12. ELIGIBILITY
Employees and the immediate families of Woodlands Publishing and its related bodies corporate are ineligible to enter. Employees and the immediate
families of all associated sponsors and participating judges are also ineligible to enter.
13. TAMPERING
If for any reason these awards are not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) technical failures, unauthorised intervention,
computer virus, mobile phone failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond the control of Woodlands Publishing which corrupts or affects the
administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, Woodlands Publishing reserves the right, subject to State
regulations, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
14. INABILITY TO CONTACT
In the event that a entrant is not successfully contacted in a telephone call or email by the promoters, that entrant will be disqualified and a
replacement entrant will be selected. In the event that a finalist is successfully contacted and in the course of the final judging or during the
stage of preparation for publication of the winners announcement the promoter cannot contact the entrant, that entrant will be disqualified and a
replacement entrant will be selected. All decisions of the promoter as to whether or not a contestant has been contacted or is contactable will be
final and no discussion or correspondence will be entertained.
15. TERMINATION OF COMPETITION
Woodlands Publishing may, subject to State Regulations, terminate this competition or vary its terms at any time at its absolute discretion without
liability to any entrant or other person.
16 RIGHTS TO ACTION
Any failure by the promoter to enforce any of these rules in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim by any other person.
