Help on Instant Win Comps!
Just one question with the instant win competitions how many times do you keep trying before you stop, at 55c a call. I know this probably seems like
a stupid question! |

hello shellarne...not a stupid question at all. I usually try up to 10 times because it can get quite expensive. Good luck with your comps. |

shellarne - welcome to lottos.
A lot of "newbies" to the site can at first get carried away with SMS comps, however, do suffer a huge shock when their first bill arrives.
My advice is to not let this happen - no one can answer this question for you - its more to do with how much can you afford to spend. And by spend I
mean how much can you afford to lose without getting a win as there is no guarantee that you will get a win.
A good option to control your SMS spends is to buy a "pre-paid service" and that way you can keep track of your spending and its all paid upfront.
Happy comping

Hi shellarne, rb's given good advice. I just wanted to add that instant wins can be exciting, because you can get that immediate rush from finding out
you're a winner but you can also become a bit obsessed about winning a particular comp and keep on entering in the hope of winning. But there is no
guarantee of winning - you could enter once and win, or 100 times and not win.
Something to think about - comping can be expensive: magazines, newspapers, stamps, mobile bills, phone bills, and products for purchase comps. Only
you can work out what the best use of your money is and what you feel happiest entering. You'll probably work it out over time to what suits you and
your budget.
Good luck! |

i too had one nasty bill and have now given myself a limit of 10 - it is a rush when you win an instant win, but the 'sick in the stomach' feeling
when you get a nasty bill lasts even longer! good luck, and welcome to lottos! |

I have a limit of 10 SMSs but I find it hard not to get sucked into the instant wins.
I just went bezzzerko on the current PSP comp ....BUT even though I was prepared to lose I accidently thought that if I spent $80 on SMSs I would
surely win. Not to be. Fortunately, it won't break the bank but just goes to show that there's no guarantees. |

I had a monthly limit and stuck to it very well.....until I won on instant win.....it is a trap. The excitement of winning can spur you on and makes
it easy to think you can do it again. I have learnt the hard way with avery very nasty phone bills. Even trying to take care I still blew it. I now
count every one and stay to the limit. Be careful not to get sucked in with the thrill of a win and over do it. |
