The cultural centre is great, zoo is fun, marine park also. The tour to the USS Arizona site is sad but well worth it. Ala Moana shopping centre great
fun, Drive yourself round the island is good, remember they drive on the wrong side, going to a luau is tacky but fun |

Son went two years ago and loved it.
He did Pearl Harbour site, that is USS Arizona, zoo, diamond Head, submarine trip, and said if he could have afforded it, would have done helicopter
trip.
Evidently some great markets where you can eat cheaply.
Have a great time |

Someone asked this same question about a month ago, if you search Hawaii, you will find it there. |

Get a local bus (its cheap) and take the whole family around the Island. It takes about 4 hours and you can hop on and off and get the next one.
Allow a day. Sunset Beach is worth a stop.
Denny's is a good reasonably priced family restaurant, on Waikiki Beach, close to war museum (worth a visit).
Great for shopping is Ala Moana Shopping Centre (you can get local buses there.
Catch local buses to Pearl Harbour, also there (if your into warships) is a tour of USS Missouri. Accessed from Pearl Harbour site.
Try surfing on Waikiki Beach. The waves are tamer there.
Are you going to any outer Islands??
Enjoy your trip |

I noticed one of the latest travel magazines had a 20 page spread on Hawaii advertised on the cover.
As it was a few days ago and I wasn't interested in going there myself I didn't take any notice of which magazine it was but if you look in a
newsagency you might spot it.
If I am passing that newsagency again tomorrow I will try and find the name. Not sure why some people are sending U2Us about this as the information
would most likely be of interest to other readers. |

Congratulations on your win!!
Love Hawaii! Waikiki is amazing, it's just like something out of a postcard.
Pearl Harbour was extremely moving and definitely well worth a visit. Driving was a bit of an adventure - especially since we hired a Hummer for the
day!
Do you know in which hotel you will be staying?

salad bowl when we were there a few years ago, and two pieces of cheesecake served 5 of us (including a teenage boy!!) |

The magazine that has a 20 page liftout on Hawaii in it is the OCT/NOV/DEC edition of Vacations & Travel magazine.

Hi all,
Just logging on quickly to check emails etc..I asked the same question a few weeks ago and 8 of us are now living and breathing Hawaii for couple of
weeks.
Having a ball - Polynesians very friendly and relaxed.Pays to get hints on tipping.Shed some tears at Pearl Harbour and beautiful memorial. They are
doing huge renovations so visit free.
Generous food serves and we have found food prices similar to Australia.Great outlet shopping and Asic shoes half the price I would pay at home.
Saw truly amazing sights on North Coast yesterday with record 30 foot waves.Became a pro in surfing in 1 day!
We have used odd voucher from free tourist magazines freely available.
I don't know how anyone could not have great time.Still plan on snorkeling, visiting seaworld and relaxing by the pool and beach.
I didn't win the hol but worthy every cent.
ALOHA! |
