Win a $50 Red Balloon voucher WOL, Entry methods: Online, Freq: Once Only, Prize pool: $50, Closes 10/11/2010
Results Date: 11/11/10
Up for grabs is a $50 Red Balloon Day voucher, which expires on the 22nd of October 2011.
I'm offering this to lottos Premium members as a way of saying "thanks" for all the wonderful support (and prizes) that have come about since I
joined. I initially wanted to use it as incentive for people to "like" my picture on Facebook (and you still can if you want, any "likes" are
appreciated). But since that is too blatant, please accept this as more of a good will gesture to the lottos community!
So... in order to win, please reply to this thread and answer the following question;
What is the most memorable words or less question and/or answer you have ever encountered and why?
The question and/or answer could be memorable because it was weird, funny, silly or even because you won with it.
I will be deciding a winner (based on creative and literary merit) on the 11th of November and will U2U the winner (and post their name in the
winner's circle as per forum member comp rules).
If interested in "liking" my facebook photo, please visit http://www.lottos.com.au/forum/viewthreadlite.php?tid=227798
Good luck! |

Hi missmessy
Nice of you to off the voucher and I'll head over to your likey facebooky voting comp after sharing this wol question and a winning entry.
Had to laugh as I entered with about 1 minute to go before it closed at midnight a while back.
The question was: Why do you have a destructive personality?
Coincidentally it won me a $3k red balloon voucher earlier in the year
Good luck with your comp... will vote shortly and feel free to add me as a facebook friend... I'm sure you'll see a few familiar faces... (I'll u2u
you shortly)
if anyone else wants to be part of the facebook loop please u2u me also |

Thanks Maccinote for sharing your hilarious answer! And parker_street_mum, have a look at www.redballoon.com.au for the array of wonderful experiences and gift boxes they have on offer. Like Maccinote, I was lucky enough to win a $3K
voucher from them and have gone rally car driving, out to dinner, indulged in massages, bought lots of gifts for people etc...
With $50 you could have a bottle of wine and chocolates, gift boxed and delivered, a huge 1.2kg box of lollies, or a Sunset Cruise on Port Phillip Bay
aboard a tall ship or put it towards a special event.
Hoping that answers your question (and no, I don't work for Red Balloon!) |

Hi parker_street_mum
Yeah! I had no idea what they were either for months after I started comping, but wowee.... there's a lot of comps that give them away and it's easy
to get lost on their website with all the different categories they offer... many are unique gifts and experiences as missmessy mentioned
well worth a look around |

The one I can't forget is fairly recent. "How does the internet work?" I've never been so stunned at a WOL. They would have gotten a lot of different
answers to that one! |

"What would you name your own Starship?" Not being a Star Trek fan, I decided instead to relate my answer to the 80s soft rock band, Starship. I
will never forget this question, because I had to repeat it and my answer to multitudes of family and friends, as amazed as I was that my outside the
square answer won me a trip to Canada! |

To win movie tickets or something like that a very recent comp asked: 'Who of your friends/family is a BURDEN you couldn't live without?' I sure hope
they aren't publishing the winners answers for that question!!!!!!! It would take something just a little bigger than movie tickets for me to sell out
my family and friends!!!!!! |

What is the most memorable words or less question and/or answer you have ever encountered and why?
I'm embarrassed to say, but I'll say it: I answered a question about why some cricket player was a good catch (I'm really not into cricket). So I
researched it all, examined all the wiki info re his catches, googled his "name" and "catches", and came up with a really good answer (by my standards
and cricket understanding).
To my horror I read the winiing answers, and they all wanted to take him to bed cos he was a good "catch". I think I missed the point of the question.
OMG! |

It was not a competition but a work query.
I work tech support for an ISP - I had a customer call in from Cairns and ask the question 'why isn't my internet working?'
Now seems a pretty standard question - and one i hear multiple times a day.
But where it gets interesting is that Cairns had been hit by a tropical cyclone causing major damage that day. I asked the customer if she was near
the area and she said 'yes, all the phone lines are knocked over and the phone is not working'
I had to choke back laughter as I pointed out that dialup internet required a working telephone line. |

I have liked your pic at the start of the comp
While back on Movie Network they asked
What could Travolta do with his head?
My answer
He could deflect any hair raising situations with a solid grip outshining any enemy strategy.
I won |

Why do you want to win?
Such an innocuous question?
Do you think I do this for fun?
Nah I want to beat my twin!
Thanks for the comp, a bit of fun. Had a few chuckles remembering what I wrote for the comps people have suggested |
