Suggestion - WOL questions highlighted?
Anyone else agree that for WOL comps, the actual question itself could be put at the very beginning of the comp post, maybe in bold red or similar?
It'd save a bit of time. Some comps I don't see the question until I scour the text, T&Cs or click through to the entry page.
As there are some that I don't even wish to attempt to answer, it could save this time looking thru or clicking thru.
Interested to hear others' thoughts.
P.s. I am ever-appreciative of all the posters and I'd love to do more of it myself. Thanks

Anything that adds to the work required for a member to post a comp (like the suggestion) is likely to not be implemented.

i would do it but i'm flat out figuring out how to bold something let alone make it big and a different colour, i've tried a few times cause i've seen
others do it but can't seem to work it out. |

Words or less question in red would be great but having said that understand that Andrew doesn't want to put any pressure on our wonderful regular
comp posters. I appreciate all your hard work guys! |

I think it's a good idea and don't mind highlighting it in my posts (few as they are ).
Is there a way it can be entered into a separate window when posting the comp so that it stands out above the rest of the post?

Yeah thanks Babbs. Don't get me wrong, a lot of people do, including myself (tho I haven't posted for a while). Just lately I seem to have trouble
finding some at all in the comp post.
I like the WOL field idea - if WOL option is selected. If none available, or multiple comps, etc, the word "unknown" or "many" could be entered in
lieu??

Yes agreed. I don't think you have to go over the top with text in the body of the post, just a brief summary, anything relevent, and the question
does the job.
I often add the permit numbers. It used to be in the guidelines for posting. |

I think why the permit numbers are no longer required might be because Qld doesn't require permit numbers and some posters then thought that because
there was no permit number for Qld then Qld was left out of entering which, of course, was not the case. |

Yes, I agree it's great when people highlight the WOL in some way. Much appreciated and a huge thanks to all those who post comps on here for us
What I would truly LOVE is if the WOL could be a separate field in itself and show up on the summary page along with the other main fields like title,
means of entry and close date. Then, like Chugger said, you could dismiss some immediately that you know you don't want to enter. I do understand
though that it would add to the work involved in posting a comp but figured it can't hurt to add to a wish list |

I find it interesting that people are quick to say that the comp post doesn't contain the wol question - surely anyone else can post it in follow up
comments if they so desire. So many already do and I'm ever so appreciative of those who make the initial post and those who add any extra info. At
least we know the competition exists.
Just remember the people who post comps don't work for us - they are contributing for free (or for free membership days).
I think we need to take the pressure off those who regularly list comps. The more you expect of them, the less likely they will be to post.
Thank you all the wonderful people who always manage to find comps before I do!! |

I understand where you're coming from LuckyOne. I am forever grateful knowing the comps exist, however, the comp posting guidelines are in place to
not only advise us of the comps, but to make things easy and efficient for those using the information.
The other fields are in place to do just this, ie entry method, frequency, states - all put in place so people can sort their comps without having to
read thru sometimes pages of T&C's.
It is entirely up to Andrew of course, but a WOL question field, for easy reference, I feel would be very beneficial, and no more trouble to cut n
paste into than finding any of the other entry requirements of a competition.
Thanks all for your thoughts, please comment if you have an opinion.

Whatever words you want bold you type b in square brackets at the start of the text. Then /b in square brackets at the end of the text.
For colour as an example type color=red in square brackets at the start and then /color in square brackets at the end. |

If I post a WOL I usually include the question. But how far do we go. It would also be helpful if we included whether or not an actual WOL was drawn
or game of skill.
I dont mind going in and finding out stuff if I want the prize.
I realize it would save time but it is starting to take longer and longer to post things. Finding out times to fit in headings etc when people should
be reading t &cs anyway.
Dont want to put off posters and dont want to stop posting.
Not a bad idea but I'm unsure. |

I think the idea of a separate field when you post a comp is a good one as most people put the Q in anyway (many thanks) so it would not be anything
extra - just make things more uniform.
However, it would mean Andrew messing about with the format (again)

Agree Billycat
I have only just started posting comps and don't like feeling nervous about getting a U2U about posting incorrectly. The more expectations of the
posters the more chance of posting incorrectly and then the poster feels bad/sad instead of good about posting.
I think highlighting or putting the WOL question at the top of the post is a nice 'optional' extra. I post comps now because I want to give back to
Lottos, but I really think it is up to the entrant to check the details of the comp. As for getting credits for Lottos memberships, it's great, but it
is only a few cents for what can take 10 minutes. |

EDIT: I dont think it should be mandatory just posting as some members may not know how. |

no do not agree that the question should be highlighted the if the person who is putting on the comp it can be left up to them if they want to do it
but it does not have to be highlighted as the person who is entering should know what the question is by reading the terms and conditions |
