Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Terms and Conditions (Terms). Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of
these Terms.
2. The Promoter is National Basketball League (ABN 65 164 187 937) of Level 6, 10 Queens Road, Melbourne VIC 3004 (Promoter) and the Promoter has
the consent of La Trobe Financial of 25/333 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000 and Special Broadcasting Services Corporation of 14 Herbert St, Artarmon
NSW 2064 (ABN 91 314 398 574) to promote their respective businesses (Businesses).
3. If you are an Eligible Entrant and satisfy all entry requirements then subject to these Terms, you will be entered into the promotion to win a
prize (Competition).
4. Entries into the Competition starts at 9:00am (AEDT) on Monday 10 February and ends at 9:00am (AEDT) on Monday 2nd of March 2020 (Competition
Period).
5. This Competition is open to all individuals who:
a. are permanent Australian Residents aged 18 years or older excluding employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, the Businesses and
agencies associated with this promotion (Eligible Entrants). All entrants must read and consent to these Terms as a condition of entry into the
promotion. For the purposes of these Terms, “Australian Resident” means a person who resides in Australia at the start of the Competition Period and
who holds Australian citizenship or holds an Australian permanent residency visa. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse,
de-facto spouse, child or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew,
brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister or first cousin; and
b. are available to attend a NBL basketball game on a date nominated by NBL (in its sole discretion) between the dates of 6 March and 24 March 2020
(inclusive).
6. To enter the Competition, Eligible Entrants must, during the Competition Period, SMS their name, date of birth and email address to 0447 783 588
(SMS Process).
7. Eligible Entrants will receive one (1) entry into the Competition when they complete the SMS Process. By completing the SMS Process, the
Eligible Entrant will receive one (1) entry. Eligible Entrants may only enter the draw once.
8. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
9. The draw will be conducted by Anisimoff Legal, an independent third party, located at Suite 5, Erina Plaza, 210 The Central Coast Highway, Erina
NSW 2250 at 9:00am AEDT on Tuesday 3rd of March 2020. Three entries will be drawn: the winner; the first runner-up and the second runner-up.
10. The prize winner will be notified by email or telephone by Wednesday 4th of March by 6:00pm AEDT and within two (2) business days of the draw the
winner’s name will be published at https://nbl.com.au/competitions
11. If the Promoter has not received confirmation from the winner or the winner has failed to provide confirmation of acceptance and any other
information requested by the Promoter in order to verify the identity of the prize winner within [1] days, the prize will be forfeited, and they will
no longer be the winner and their entry will be invalidated.
12. If the winner does not satisfy these Terms, forfeits the prize or fails to the claim the prize in accordance with paragraph 11, the first
runner-up will be the prize winner. The first-runner up will be notified in accordance with paragraph 10. If the first-runner up fails to claim the
prize in accordance with paragraph 11, their entry will be invalidated and the second runner-up will be the prize winner and notified in accordance
with paragraph 10. If the second runner-up fails to claim the prize in accordance with paragraph 11, their entry will be invalidated and a further
draw at the same place as the original draw on 4 March 2020 will take place in order to distribute the unclaimed prize. All non-winning entries from
the original draw will be included in the unclaimed prize draw. The winner of the unclaimed prize draw will be notified in accordance with paragraph
10. This process will continue in this manner until a winner has been confirmed.
13. As a precondition of being eligible to accept the Prize, the winner and their companion must (if requested by the Promoter):
a. sign all reasonably required legal documentation in the form required by the Promoter, and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion,
including, but not limited to, a legal release and indemnity form; and
b. take out travel insurance to the Promotor’s satisfaction (which may include comprehensive travel insurance covering property loss and damage,
and full medical cover) at their own expense. The winner and his or her companion must provide evidence of valid travel insurance (i.e. a certificate)
to the Promotor in order to receive the prize.
14. The total prize is valued up to a maximum of $14,000 depending on the winner’s circumstances which include the following:
· 2 corporate tickets to the NBL nominated game (Game) (selected by the Promoter in its sole discretion);
· 2 return economy flights (no frequent flyer points awarded) from the winner’s home city to the city hosting the game at the time and date
notified by the Promoter. The Promoter is not liable if the flights are cancelled, changed or missed. The flights are non-transferable and not able to
be changed. The prize does not include frequent flyer points. No flights are awarded where the winner attends the Game in their home city;
· 1 night twin share accommodation for the winner and one companion at a 4 star hotel selected by the Promoter at its sole discretion. The winner
may be required to present a credit card at the time of check in and will be liable for any damage to the room and or charges incurred in connection
with the room. No accommodation is awarded where the winner attends the Game in their home city;
· $200 spending money, ETFed to winner
· during the Game, at a time specified by the NBL (in its sole discretion), the winner will take a maximum of 3 attempts to take a successful
shot from the half court line on the court. If the winner makes a successful shot – the remaining shots will not be taken:
- 1st shot attempt at the half-court for a $10,000 12 Month Investment
- 2nd shot attempt at the half-court for a $10,000 12 Month Investment
- 3rd shot attempt at the half-court for a $10,000 12 Month Investment

· Should one of the half-court shots be made, the winner will receive a 12 Month Term Account in the La Trobe Australian Credit Fund ARSN 088 178
321 in the sum of $10,000 and may be redeemed in accordance with the La Trobe Financial Credit Fund Product Disclosure Statement and Constitution
(upon giving at least 30 days written notice prior to the expiration of twelve months of opening the account).
15. The following is not included in the prize: spending money, meals, taxes including any tax liability incurred by the winner or entrant, insurance
(excluding airline and airport taxes), passports, visas, vaccinations, transport to and from departure point, transfers, items of a personal nature,
in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included. The winner and his/her companion must depart from and return to the same departure
point and travel together. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Airfare and accommodation are not included in the
prize if the winner attends the Game in their home city. Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service
providers. If applicable, the winner may be required to present their credit card at time of accommodation check in.
16. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the
promotion or suspend or modify a prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
17. Parts of the prize are supplied by third parties and the Promoter makes no representation or warranty in respect of any of the prize components or
your use thereof. The prize components are provided on an “as is” basis and supplied on any conditions imposed by the prize suppliers.
18. This Competition is only open to Eligible Entrants who act at all times in good faith, sincerely, and without fraud. Any entrant or entry that the
Promoter suspects, in its discretion, to be in breach of these Terms or attempting to gain an unfair advantage over other competitors (e.g. by the use
of technology) will not be eligible. |
