New tags need to be unique
Ok, odd looking subject title, I know.
Like most, I like to be able to quickly find comps with specific prizes.
I created the original system of tagging specific prize comps with a double word, eg. carcar, cashcash, triptrip etc.
The reason for that was to create a unique word that can be searched and only threads with that word will come up.
This system has been updated to a hashtag system, so now carcar has become #car; cashcash is #cash etc.
And I've noticed people have been creating some of their own, which is great, but you have to remember that they must be unique and can't be confused
with another tag.
The one that's prompted me to write this post is a new tag, #card for comps that
offer a credit card, like Visa or Mastercard, as a prize. For someone searching for this tag, it's fine. However, if you're searching for #car, then all the #card comps come up too.
At this stage there's not that many #card comps tagged, so
before it becomes in popular use, can we please change it to a more unique word? Perhaps something like #credit or #Visa |

unique and included
if the poster doesn't tag the comp... it won't be included.
Perhaps we need a window for the tag in the form to post a comp
Prize wins 2014: $37680
Prize wins 2011: $13000
previous years about $25000
The harder you work the luckier you get

Hi,
Thanks for sharing this info.
I've been comping for years but have only joined lottos a few months ago and am loving this little community, I'm still getting the hang of it all but
one thing I am a little unsure of is: when the prize is an eftpos card for example, do you use the giftcard tag and not the cash tag? (cash would just
be if money was getting deposited directly into the winners account?)
"#giftcard - gift cards, vouchers and prepaid credit/debit cards"
"#cash - for cash"
I also agree with gr82do, maybe something added on the comp form will help get the tags used and correct.
It would also be great to see one for #kids (to cover toys and
kids products, this will certainlly come in handy around christmas time)?.
And maybe one for #foodanddrinks?
as I never know what tag to put food, chocolate, drink or alcohol prizes under, would this be kitchen?
Thanks

What is being used for children’s comps? I tried #kid and #baby but only 1 showed
up. So either not being tagged or I have the wrong word! TIA
2005 total:$1,130-
2006 $5,500 app.
2007 $2,000 approx.
2008 $1200
2009 $930
2010 $4,200
2011 $1,473
2012 $675
2013 $462
2014 $2,150
2015 $120
2016 $1150
2017 $210
2018 $210 at least I'm consistent!
2019 $115 still waiting for the big one!
2020 $550
2021 $3,000
All I want ... is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy! And 2022 is the year to do it!
