Hi ndiyo, I haven't had any luck at all online but have been successful via mail. But as I mentioned above we try to think outside the square and I
never put my answer on the coupon, still send the coupon but put extra effort into the entry. My kids have won over 100 comps this way. Still some win
and some don't. Good luck. |

As far as Vogue goes, I've never been able to win from them either and I've tried all the above. No point in trying to get creative because all of
theirs seem to be online these days. I'd love to know what sort of answers they like as well. |

I am still in shock from winning from Marie Claire last year. The entry was nothing special but it didn't rhyme.
I am past worrying what others think about my wins any more. I know what it takes for quite a few of my comping buddies to win so green-eyed monsters
can take a number now!
I do think though that with mail ins these days the more creative type entries are winning. And I also think wol online are more one liners than
rhyming. It's cyclic dependant on judges ... maybe they're bored sh!tless with poetic justice.
Keep on ENTER ENTER ENTER I say and enjoy the spoils.

Tabs, I won a George Jensen ring a few months ago from them. My answer was a true, positive anecdote, that was relevant to the prize. No rhyme. She
said they did read all the entries. I don't get a huge hit rate on wol either though!
I've done quite a few creative wol less entries over the years where I've made something. Won a few, but then it's even more disappointing when
you've spent hours making something and it doesn't win, and has cost you money to make and post! |

I have stopped entering any WOL with a mail in component after reading what some creative legends on here get up to. I don't have the time or talent
to get crafty!
I spoke to a marketing person who judges competitions today (got a WPC) and asked what sort of entries they got. She said mainly poems and that most
of them were lame. So that's interesting. I think I'm going to steer clear of the poems for a while. They are hard work to read, so if I were a judge
I'd probably hate them.
The "why do you deserve" question kills me. I don't think I've ever entered a comp that asks that. It makes me feel sick to be saying I "deserve" some
luxury item when millions of people don't have sanitary drinking water. |

I know promoters like when you mention their product in the WOL
just answer from your heart, but be potlical or flirty

Hi, I recently won a trip for 2 to NYC for 2 nights with Cotton on/Okay magazine. In 25 WOL you had to say what makes a good global citizen. As much
as I remember I said "You care for the environment, not just tolerate but celebrate other cultures and have an open heart and an open mind". I took my
daughter, we saw Stevie Wonder in Central Park, stayed an extra couple of days, it was amazing. they said they like my answer because it was to the
point. |

I have won once from Vogue. It was the Win Morning Glory tickets and a BlackBerry Pearl 3G smartphone comp back in January 2011 and the question was
'To enter, simply tell us in 25 words or less what your dream job would be and why?'
As I'd taken a redundancy in September 2010, I wrote something about my dream job being any job.. and somehow it worked! |

I know this is a silly question but how do you know or see if you have won something! How do they notify you as I would hate to miss anything though
I am sure I havn't.  |

You can get prize notifications in all sorts of ways, a phone call (WPC) an email (WEM) in the post, or sometimes they will just mention your name on
a FB or twitter post and you need to reply back to them (these are usally ones where you dont give details like email or phone) Ive missed a few like
this, so now i have a piece of paper and write the facebook name and date its drawn and check back... They usually tell you how they will advice in
there T and C's...
