Pacific Magazines:ALSO Womans Day .... Magazine List for checking as per new t&c's.
As has been pointed out in another thread - there are some new conditions now in the t&c's in some of the Pacific Mag comps.
Competition entrants who have previously won any prize from any Pacific Magazines magazine will be deemed ineligible to win any prize until
after three (3) months has elapsed from the draw or judging date of the prior prize winning. It will be the responsibility of the prize winners to
calculate the time period in which they are eligible to enter future competitions outside of the three (3) month ineligibility period. The Promoter
will not be responsible for alerting entrants as to when they are eligible to re-enter and no correspondence will be entered into.
I thought I'd leave the full list here and leave this topped for easy access if you need to check it.
Pacific magazine publications are:
Better Homes and Gardens
Bride to Be
Famous
Family Circle
Girlfriend
Home Beautiful
In Style
K-Zone
Mens Health
Marie Claire
New Idea
That's Life
Practical parenting
TV Hits
Virgin Blue Voyeur
Total Girl
Diabetic Living
Lexus
Monument
Who
Women's Health
Your Garden
You can check for yourself here:

EDIT ... by Nelke
Womans Day has also changed their T & Cs from this month
Only ONE win per 3 months.....
(thanks to Magwheels & MissMuffet - from whom I have taken most of this from stuff they have written in another thread). |

Just thought Id' point out that there are still some older comps on the forum floating around that don't have the new t&c's (ie. BHG Mortgage
buster comp) - so get in and enter those ones while you can, if you've won anything lately.

Thanks Tye.
I'd suggest if compers keep a speadsheet of wins...that they pop the promoter or mag next to the win as a memo to oneself!
Wonder if this new rule will apply to BHG phone ins......sort of defeats the purpose of entering each competition!
WOW and implications for Thats Life weekly entrants.
Also wondering if is possible to add 3 months exclusion rule when posting comps where applicable - I have noticed in some of their comps they don't
have this rule - sms( idea to raise revenue), ect |

Im out too. I won a jacqui E necklace in the New Idea mothers day ring n win comp worth $30. For others who won in that comp the draw date was May 19
so its 3 months from then (assuming that the comp had the same t and c ruling, I couldnt find a complete set of terms staing that rule for that comp) |

Thanks I won from Famous for the first time in years just last week and now I'm out from all of them for 3 months. I wish they had an exception for
prizes won under $100

Is this an umbrella rule overseeing all their comps or just those with that term listed? I have the current BH & G mag and the terms for the Ring
n Win dont state this term at all. |

Ok! that fine but i have a question sometimes a person doesn't know that they have won until a parcel arrives so in the mean time you have been
entering comps from the magazines sites.Where does the terms and conditions say anything about that.Or have you just got to stop entering all comps
from magazine thinking you have won a prize. |

If it is not in some of the ring & win comps - I guess the onus will be on us to check which comps we enter - if it has the exclusion clause.
Also when we posts comps - if we see that clause it would definately be worth highlighting so we don't miss it.

I read last weeks That's Life terms and they still have the one prize per issue stated - very interesting, I might start entering in hubbies name for
a few months just in case. |

Like petrie46's point , you don't know till the prize arrives & that can take up to 8 weeks or more , maybe they should start notifying all
winners so we can comply with their stupid T&C's .
Perhaps they will rethink it when their sales drop .Is ACP Magazines the same thing , My Pringles Holiday win was eventually from them though entered
via the TenNetwork PTY Ltd ???
Is there anyway this can be kept at the top for awhile ???? MODS

i think its stupid. like u have time to keep a spreadsheet on what u have entered and won. (personally i dont) I enter then forget about it and if i
win great, if not onto the next comp. I think they are aiming at people who are like us, "professional compers". maybe theres been too many tv shows
of compers talking about all the stuff you can win and the mags and promotors are sick of it. the general consumers probably dont even read the terms.
and further to that how are they gonna know? are they gonna keep a spreadsheet on us? |

If they are going to have a condition like that, they could at least have a set amount like other companies do. So if you win small prizes, it's
still OK to enter.

Marie Claire and Mens Health used to be 12 months exclusion which was totally ridiculous and I told them so, they didn't care.
I agree, exclude some-one for 3 months for prizes larger than $5,000 - so the major winner basically, but to win a movie pass or some other rubbish
and then be excluded is just so petty.
How will they know anyway? I mean if I'd won a big trip or something then I'd exclude myself for 3 months and enter the rest of the family anyway. If
I win some paltry, trifling, runners up thing I'm not going to keep track of that. I hate STUPID rules, obviously some-one new has got the job who has
to justify why they're there. |

I presume they will keep at database at Pacific Mags that they update with their winners.
Its good to share the love around but I think they could have made it a prize over a $100 at least to weed out the little bits and pieces and movie
tix!

Well no, because they're saying that it's our responsibility to keep track...so what DO they mean by that? Needs clarification really. |

New Idea have No Idea what's going on.
I know that they drew a name, then invalidated the entrants entry over the 3 month rule - the lass admitted it. They alledgedly claim they miscounted
the 3 month period.
If they pull names "mistakenly" how do we really know whats going on?
TV week have implemented a one month rule/ per household rule now - they have a lag of 1 month in their publishing of winners- you could waste
ineligible entries for months on end. However if you live in SA and ACT the rule doesn't apply. No fairness there either
Suppose all compers should move to SA or ACT
TV week also now state you must be able to produce the magazine for the week you win upon request - othewise you invalidate your win. |
