Still feeling in limbo. My sister's ringing me from NZ tomorrow.
She off to England in September, NZ dollar's so low, so may decide not to go.
Haven't even mentioned it to my good friend here yet, as I'll ask her to go if my sister can't.
So an ANZAC surprise for someone tomorrow.
PS thanks for the nice messages. |

Hi Everyone from Rome
The Premiere was on Monday night. All the cast walked the Red Carpet.
Spotted Ewan McGregor, Tom Hanks, Ron Howard who took 1 and a half hours to walk the Red Carpet. Heaps of photographers and media there. Ron and Tom
spoke on the stage before it started and disappeared probably to their own private reunion. About 700 in the cinema. Very easy movie to follow, not
many unexpected twists and turns.
Having a great time, been to Vatican Musuem, only standing space in the Sistene Chapel. Went to the Catatombes yesterday,
Off to Venice on the train tomorrow, Just love the pizzas, pasta and red wine. Off to breakfast
HOPE EVERYONE IS WINNING BIG, CONGRATS TO WINNERS IN THE LAST FEW DAYS, |

Hey islandboy, when in venice, buy some morano glass, but make sure your kids don't break it when you get home! Me & hubby and 6 others were
there Sept last year and had a ball. Do the gondola's during the day.....better photo opportunities! |

homeward stretch
After a 13 hour flight from Rome, landed here in Hong Kong at 6am. A 17 hout stopover. Lay on the beach at Stanley Bay this morning. Went and had
Yum Cha. A nice change after 10 days of pizza and pasta. A few hours taking catnaps at a airport Cafe.
Another 7 hours to Cairns on Cathay Pacific.
Venice was wonderful, so grand and old. Could pick out the older Venetian generation. So fashionable in their suits and tweed jackets. Gondolier
rides were exhorbitant; mostly used by newly weds. We took the Water bus.
St Marco Square was magnificient with live orchestras playing.
Flight leavesa in two and a half hours. |
