keeping copies of receipts if comp doesn't say so..

If a competition requires you to attach the original receipt but the terms don't say to keep a copy, do you keep one anyway just to be safe?

Definately!!

I sent an original in by platinum express and it 'never made it' but Austpost insisted it did.

If I hadn't taken a copy I would never have got my prize (took a while but I got it in the end)

I would never send an original without keeping a copy. I have had the need to send the copy as well, as the original never made it.

Absolutely! Always have a copy made:):)

Very tricky at the moment with woolworths/safeway with an original reciept required for a particular comp and copies required on others within woolworths/safeways:):)

Best wishes:):):)

Isn't the question about sending original receipts with the entry form??
I don't keep a copy if it has to go with the EF; if it doesn't get there, I'm not going to know about it!

pirate, thats how I read it and I've never thought to keep a copy when I send an original receipt with ef.

To send a receipt to claim a prize absolutely yes - not that I've been asked to very often, and most time copies have been acceptable anyway.

yeah I would keep a copy because usually I would have other comps on the receipt as well. If not I just keep one for my records. You never know.

I always take a few copies, just in case one gets lost and these days originals fade etc.

yeh my question was

if you send your original receipt in with the entry form do you ever keep a copy at home?

I'm just wondering if there is ever a time where you've sent in the original and for some reason they've requested a copy? I can't see why they would if they have the original. I guess sometimes I just don't trust entry forms and their terms.
