3rd Party Charges on sms
Am I the only idiot that didn't know that I was getting charged everytime I got an sms back saying my "my entry had been received, blah blah" it seems
they were discussing it on the radio when hubby was coming home and he showed me $15.40. Now my sms are free in my $30 plan but these return sms are
not.
So does this mean on top of my 55cent sms I pay another 15cent to get a reply??

I am with telstra and its on the back under where it says what plan you are on and under that it's got extras... I don't think all comps do it as my
bill would be a few (lol) dollars more than $15. hubby heard it on 3aw melb on the way home from work someone rang in, and I'm not talking the sms
ones where you join and it's a constant fee each week.... I wonder if it's just telstra and whether because I am on a plan... am going to go through
all my bills tomorrow and see as I've only been on the plan a few months....... |

i'm with telstra too and i was wondering what those charges were for! i got charged $22 for the last month - not happy - time to switch companies i think! |

I did not know this, I have prepaid & just use it until its gone so would not really know if I was paying for return sms.

My Optus plan does not charge for the return SMS - and only 50 cents for the SMS that I send for comps.

My Optus is pre-paid, & keep track of it, so can't be charging me or would run out of credit quicker. Must only be for those on plans?? |
