Voucher Terms and Conditions Question

Hi all,

I have a voucher that I won, and when reading the terms and conditions I feel confused.

They read:
Voucher is non-refundable, non-transferrable and non-exchangeable either in full or part for cash unless the original voucher is returned, or formal proof of payment is provided.

To me, that reads, as long as I return the voucher, they will refund, transfer, or exchange.
Is this correct?
I rang the hotel to ask them and they told me 'no, you cannot get a refund" but when I read to him the terms and conditions he has asked me to fax a copy so he can read it. (I dont have a fax, so that will have to wait until later)

Obviously *I* did not pay for it, but most people in posession of a gift certificate haven't.

What is your opinion???

well, the wording certainly suggests that you should be able to get the cash. Good luck with it :)

yeah they wouldn't refund, as it was a donation from the hotel, but they agreed to extend it until our anniversary in August! I guess thats a win
