"Ice Break Comp regarding location of winners"
I noticed in todays pn's that the majority of winners were from Queensland and couple from Victoria.
So I sent them an email..saying that I think it looks a bit suspicious and that I don't think that they are giving the rest of the states a fair go.
Surprisingly I received a phone call just after 9am from Pauls lady.
She said that the majority of sales are in Queensland.
I said that they could work it better to give every state a chance...She said that it is computer generated and that's not possible.
I think she is wrong....Why can't they work it from your postcode..isn't that why we put postcodes into the sms?
Anyone know how they work these sms comps? |

i dont think there has been any winners from sa at all but it is random so such is life |

I am sure simular thing happened on an icebreak comp before? i could be wrong? |

in qld is where the milk is made and alot more available.. so there would be crapload more entries from QLd than other states.. so i don't think its
unfair.. its just qld'ers have more entries in... |

Yeah Ive noticed everytime Im on the Gold Coast that this milk is very very popular, my hubby even drinks it whilst we are there.
Qld always feature heavily as winners and their comps and I would consider it stranger if there were no Qld winners

It is no different than say to Farmers Union comp last year most of the winners I think were from SA, the market share there was way higher than for
other states, it is very difficult to get Farmers Union were I live, but ice-break is everywhere here. Plus there is also a large number of compers
in Qld. If they published the ratio of entries per state etc it would probably all work out!!!
On the sunrise comp this morning the five winners were listed and of the five, 3 where from Victoria same thing why should Vic get three
winners....its just the way it works!!!!

I agree with you that the more sales in a state the more winners they would get...but I think it might have been the V drink comp...where they divided
the wins between the states.
Couldn't they do that with a comp like this as well?

I don't see how it can be unfair when it's an instant win comp...when all it takes is for you to sms at the right time to be a winner... |

ive bought probably 500 hundred entries worth in all the various comps over the years.. plus 100s more that aren't in comp times.. never won a thing
from them and i'm in qld! |

Does anyone know if they announced the two winners of the iphones on the members section of their website? There was a 25 wol comp for members, and I
have seen and heard nothing? |

This is exactly what I said on the other post for the comp.
If they have the Lions Share of the Market then thats fair enough. Farmers Union have a simular comp, I expect most winners to be from SA simply
becasue they have the stronghold of the market here. Anywhere, supermarkets or shops, the shelves are loaded up with Farmers Union with very little
shelf space dedicated to the other varieties. I expect each state will have their favourite drink.
I had never eaven heard of Ice Break before the comp and it took me days to even find it . Now I look for it an there is only a handful on the
shelves. |

LOL....see youve got lots of competiton. QLD'ers love Ice Break.....SA'lians love Farmers Union
There was a comp on Sunrise a few weeks back, I think it was for a Kitchenaid pack....every daily winner was from QLD. Thats it...Im moving. |
