Cruise - help needed for a last minute booking!
A window of opportunity has come up for a last minute holiday (between 01/08/09 & about 18/08/09) - I have my heart set on a cruise (preferably
departing from Sydney or Brisbane).
Does anyone know about last minute cruise deals, perhaps waiting lists for cancellation - where to get them etc?
Hubby went to a travel agent but don't think they even checked the computer! I have looked at heaps of cruising sites on web but nothing is even close
to these dates.
Any suggestions ? |

Have you tried Best Cruises?

I love cruising - I want to retire on a cruise ship (maybe after I win the $80 million on Thursday) |

Ring Best Cruises, most last minute ones say 'too hot to list' ring for prices anyway. I was watching a cruise, was $1595 and with 2 weeks to go said
ring for details, ended up with an upgraded cabin for $1175 for 10 nights which was a bargain. |

You could try www.cruisingdownunder.com.au just put in your dates on the left side and it will bring up any cruises for that period. I am currently looking at
another cruise and have found Escape Travel very good, they are also affiliated with Flight Centre and Student Flights but you need to put pressure on
them to ring the cruise companies to get a good deal. They have a policy that if you find a cheaper fair, bring them the quote, they will beat it,
also ask them to give a discount for paying for the whole cruise and not just the deposit.
We love cruising, would not fly out of Australia so cruising is a compromise and it is so much fun and I agree, it would be a great way to retire. |
