the American dream. Delving into the immigrant past of Vito Corleone (Robert De Niro) it details the vicious end of his early Sicilian childhood and
subsequent ascendance through the criminal hierarchy. Movingly fluidly between 1910 New York and 1950's Nevada, the film beautifully parallels the
triumphant rise of young Vito against the tragic devolving of his beloved son Michael (Al Pacino). The first sequel to win an Academy Award for Best
Picture, director Francis Ford Coppola offers a breathtaking vision of obsession, power, paranoia and destruction.
