Feng Shui advice needed.
Hi guys.
need some advice regarding feng shui and thought out of all the lotto members there may be someone who is good at it. I moved into this house 2 months
ago and have spent almost every cent on fixing things that have broken down and bills. When you walk in the door the first thing you see is the toilet
at the end of the hall which apparently makes your money go down the toilet so to try to remedy this I have hung a crystal in front of it and try to
get the kids to keep the door shut and lid down. Where I sit at my computer I view the front of the house and straight across the road is 'Mr
Clutter'. He is a hoarder to the extreme. The front of his house has piles of 'junk?' (have no idea but bits and pieces of everything) piled up at the
windows about half way up to the roof. There are no curtains and he uses no electricity so you can always see straight in although you can't really
see through the junk, just the junk. The front of the yard has lots of trees so I can't see in there either. I think this is really bad feng shui to
look out and see this all day every day. I have put a pua kua? mirror hanging above the door to reflect the negativity back to him but its not
working. I've been struggling with finances badly and tonight the sound on my tv is going on and off. I really need a change of luck. I am into feng
shui and need help. The house next to his is being built in the last stages which is also bad feng shui apparently to have a building going up across
from you as well. I have money frogs sitting facing my door and a little budda, 2 lucky bamboo plants and a little fountain in the loungeroom. Sorry
to go on for so long. I'm tired of running out of money and now I need a new tv too. Any ideas would be great thanks, especially on how to avoid the
negative energy from across the road. I don't want to close the blinds as I like the sun coming in.... |

Thanks to those people who u2u'd me. I had a look on the net and it seems that the negative energy is also coming from the previous tennant who I know
was going through hell because her husband took off and left her and she couldn't afford the rent on her own so had to cut her lease short and leave.
Emotional energy can stay in a house after the person has gone. Interesting. I have lots of ideas now. Thank you guys |

PG have you had much advice via u2u
hard to know what to tell you without knowing what you already have
first thing I would do is remove the crystal and the Pa Kua mirror . they coud be doing what you don't want them to do. crystals are supposed to
'energize' an area. from Lillian Too -"do not place auspicious flowers and symbols in the toilet as they can sometimes cause severe problems in the
area of life you are desperately trying to correct" I know you said you've put it outside.
do you have any idea of which 'area" your toilet is in eg, helpful people, fame, prosperity, health etc. etc
for sure keep seat down, door closed
re mirror at front door, from memory (at its a loooong time ago I was doing/learning this) you might be better with a convex mirror BUT you have to be
very careful when using them - not my choice.
you can also apply the principles to your block of land, the house and each individual room so it can get tricky when you start trying to apply
"cures"
most importnat thing is to have everything clean, tidy and allow energy flow.
Thanks for asking the question. Now I should forget about comps today and take my own advice and clean the house!!!!
this is just my take on it and others may not agree so you have to do whats right for you |

OK...coming from a Chinese background and my dad is seriously into feng shui and studied it under a Master in China many years ago...I'll give you a
few pieces of advice that I know work for sure and hopefully will get you started.
First thing I'd like to say is it sounds as if you may be going over the top with things to try and "cure" everything (and given the circumstances you
are in, I can totally understand why! )
The toilet door being closed is pretty important regardless of where the toilet is located in the house...so perserve with making that everyones
habit. The toilet seat really MUST be left down...you are correct about "money going down the drain".
I take it you are renting this place, in some ways obviously that is great, because you can always leave at the end of your lease and find something
more suitable. However, it makes things a little more difficult when trying to change the feng shui.
clover is spot on with the mirrors...they are exceptionally powerful, but must be used for the correct purpose and the correct mirror in the exact
location...I tend to steer clear of them becasue they can cause more problems than they cure...ie. the negative energy you are trying to reflect back
to the neighbour can be actually coming back again to you. (if that makes any sense?) As difficult as it is...you need to start thinking and SPEAKING
as loving and kindly as you can about that neigbour and his home...you will be amazed if you really work on that how much difference you
feel...everytime he/his junk annoys you...stop, think of someone/something you really love or care for and replace them for him...
On a physical level, put up some sheer curtains which allow the light in but minimise the outside (spotlight have some lovely slightly patterned
continuous sheer curtains which have already got the tops and hems sewn..so you just need to put them on a rod...) they will mean you still get the
outside light and feeling...but have to really concentrate to actually see whats outside (again...if that makes sense?)
I'm not a huge fan of money frogs, turtles or Buddha for the sake of them doing some "good". In some respects they simply add to the clutter...I have
a gold Buddha...but it is because I love it and I practice Buddhism. He sits looking over us in the dining room. So, I guess what I'm saying is, if
you love your money frogs or Buddha by all means keep them...but if not, send them off to someone who will.
Now, the things I do strongly believe in are a pair of Fu Dogs at the front door. (They guard you and your home and they invite good fortune). They
do not need to be large or elaborate...I have a pair of brass dogs which only stand about 8inches high. It is critical they are placed correctly...on
either side of the front door...looking out...the female on the right hand side (she has the pup under her paw) and the male on the left (he has the
ball under his paw).
Also, a jade plant or tree on each side of the door.
Feng Shui has always placed strong emphasis on indoor plants...never artificial, so instead of ornaments, have some pleasing ferns, palms etc in your
home.
That's about all I can think of saying off the top of my head...but the other important feature (maybe THE most important feature of Feng Shui) is the
actual location of furniture and items in the home. Based on the compass...and all the elements ie fire, water, wood, air etc...so, if at the end of
the day you are going to stay there a while...perhaps find a qualified Feng Shui consultant to come and give you this advice.
One thing is for sure...there are many, many books written on Feng Shui and there are quite a few methods which are used...all based on one
traditional school...but the Master's knowledge is only as good as they years of experience...so, don't be overwhelmed...
Try just a couple of things at a time and see how you go.
Hope that's been of some assistance. |

Thanks so much for your advice. I have taken it all in. I will change a few things around and see if things change for the better. First I think I'll
take the mirror down Just wondering about the Fu Dogs. Do they go on the inside
of the house or the outside? Thank you |

enchantedspirit is spot on in my humble opinion...you really need to have 100% faith and belief that the changes you are making will result in a
positive and wanted outcome...so, always keep that in mind.
As catspoon has said your fu dogs go outside the front door...and facing out. (We have ours the same with a jade plant next to each
dog). The other thing I might make mention of too, that is equally important is make sure your front door and entrance area are always kept clean and
tidy.
clover asked via U2U about the positioning of the money frogs. Based on common perception, the three-legged toad should be facing inwards (from the
main door into the house). But there are a number of different frogs out there...some with open mouths, some without...some with coins, some
without...again, it depends on what you are hoping to get and the exact compass position of the placement could be important too.
clover also asked about the Lucky Cats. They symbolize wealth. The Lucky Cat with its right paw raised brings money and happiness to both homes and
businesses. The Lucky Cat with its left paw raised attracts customers to businesses, stores, or offices by waving new patrons into the store or waving
to the clients to do business with the company. Profits will be the end result. When both arms are up, money, happiness, and customers are all
attracted to either homes or businesses..(you know the white or gold ones you see in all Chinese restaurants and Asian shops). They are extremely
popular and need to be placed in your wealth & prosperity area (when looking in from the front door it is the back left corner of any home or
room) but if you had a store you place it looking out from the cash register (it encourages $$$ in). |

thanks susan. one of my cats just has left paw up the other has left up and other half up. the left is holding a red thing (maybe cracker) with gold
lettering and the other paw has something like a drum and a daruma doll. the latter has lots of little kitties at the bottom as well.
the toad has never done much for me but I love the cats |

pg, I hope things improve for you. There's lots of great advice esp from clover and susanmundy. I had a look for my Feng Shui book but can't find it.
Lent it to someone probably.
Apart from info online you may be able to borrow some books from the library.
Also agree with enchantedspirit about positive thinking. Your decision to change things is also powerful.
susanmundy, I have always thought that it helped to have jade at the front and back door. pg, if you can get some cuttings, jade is very easy to grow
and is very hardy.
Sending lots of positive thoughts your way!

business , susan, do you know where i would be able to buy a right paw waving

I've been taking your advice guys. I completely changed my house around, all except for 2 rooms that I plan to tackle next week. I've cleansed the
house with sage and I found that my wealth corner is actually outside the house so I've cornered it off a bit to define the area and added a jade
plant and just in 2 days things are starting to improve. Wealth needed improving first lol. I've done all the corners now except for the love corner
(been 6 yrs single now lol so obviously doing something wrong there ) which apparently is supposed to have pinks and pairs of items etc but its
currently my sons room and all blue lol so it may sound silly but I'm going to swap their rooms around so my daughter who is obsessed with pink can
have my sons room which won't take much and see what happens lol Keep you posted

I was wondering how you came to the "money" corner being outside? As usually it is the far left of the house plan looking from front door in, though
the Pa Kua can be used for any room.
For example if you stand facing into your bedroom the far left of the room is still the wealth corner.
Hope this helps, but just changing won't work unless you already believe subconciously it has already. good luck with it all |

Thank you guys. My house is shaped the same as the red outline in this picture (ignore the directions) from the front door so according to all the
feng shui books I've been reading the rectangle/square shape of the house would include the missing part which unfortunately for me is my wealth area

good on you PG. glad you worked out your 'missing' area. didn't even cross my mind when we first started talking about this.
further about outside areas. I've read you can also appliy the principles to the block of land as well.
sounds like a good idea to change sons with daughter room...but have you considered if these changes will impact the kids
good luck, sounds like the positive changes have started for you |

PG it should still work being the furthest left hand side of your house, though yes you can also use any left hand corner even block of land ( as
clover suggested) or other rooms as I mentioned before, the Pa Kua is only a guide.
I have done both house and land and also rooms depending on what I'm doing at that particular stage. |

I have a question....sorry if it sounds dumb! If you place the plan of your house of the diagram.....should you include the lock up garage? It's
single and joins with the house. |

Usually you stand facing inside your house at the front entrance door (not just where you go in e.g side door), and use the directions of the Pa Kua
to determine location of relevant areas focussing on the large main areas with entrance.
It is a lot of processes that how this all works and not just putting things in places, my advice would be to do alot of reading first as I am
constantly reading stuff on the subject.

Now I have a question regarding my son's house that he is having trouble selling. Been on the market since August and even though in a lovely area
and there has been interest in the house but are not getting offers (they have dropped the price significantly).
The house is tri-level, has spiral staircases inside and outside and has great city views and is BIG! It is also a No. 4 which I believe is not good
feng shui.
Any advice/ideas would be appreciated |
