I won my way to Rotorua (with photos)
Kia ora.
I’ve just arrived back from four amazing days in Rotorua, in the North Island of New Zealand. I was part of 50 NSW winners and their partners of a
competition to indulge in either a Thrill Me, Free Me or Pamper Me package to experience what Rotorua and region has to offer. There was every type of
extreme sport/activity to be had and for me (Pamper Me) every type of sensory overload experience. Hot pools, massage, yacht cruising, float plane
flying, swimming, luxurious resorts, eating, eating, and did I mention eating? To start the holiday we all enjoyed a splendid Maori Cultural Show and
ate an enormous buffet afterwards, which set the tone for the next few days. We visited three luxury lodges, Treetops Lodge (a member of the Small
Luxury Hotels of the World), Solitaire Lodge and Lake Okareka Lodge where Steven Spielberg has been a guest. Prices at these lodges are about $1,000
per person per night!!
Air New Zealand flies directly to Rotorua twice a week and the competition was run by Destination Rotorua to promote the flights to Sydney siders.
Oooh, I could do with another hydro massage right now . . .

We lived in nz for many years and we have visited rotorua amazing place many times. Five years ago we went to rotorua we had so much fun, the smell
gets to you at first, geysers are great, scenery it beautiful. Well done a great prize. |

keanas-ma, yes the smell does get up your nose! We were staying close to the geothermal area and it was particularly bad in the bathroom. Hubby says
Rotorua is the only place in the world you can fart and get away with it 
On another note, I was speaking to one of the organisers and he said they had over 2,000 wol entries which he had to read. The comp was only for NSW
so imagine how many entries Australia wide comps get

my husband had an awesome time too... he went as a winner on the free me package and he took along his bff...appartently they had a ball!!
