Sounded good Gypsy but unfortunately I didn't qualify.

Thank you for your participation, but your profile doesn't match with our current requirements. Consequently we are not able to give a positive follow-up to your subscription.
All the information provided to the previous questions will not be used in the future by Nielsen.

They didn't like the fact I'm a member of other research panels.

After I put all the families age, weight etc, also phone/net details etc. It then asked the best time to call me in regards to the scanner...then asked me to wait and see if I was eligible.

ooh does that mean i have a chance? i hope so it took long enough to apply.

melscott28 if you gave them a number and time to ring you, maybe you are eligible then :)

We did this a couple of years ago, and was a complete pain in the bum. Just took way too long. The last thing I want to do when I come in from shopping is spend another hour inputting it all in before I put it all away. We did it for about four months and then sent it back.

Might be ok for people that don't do big shops.

I got an email to say they will contact me in a few weeks.

I got really sick of it too. The time spent really wasnt worth the payout. If you were rewarded by the amount of items you scanned it might be worth it.
Glad to get rid of it.

i started to fill it out but didn't like having to put my height and weight in...but I did and then it asked for my partner's name...and then I started thinking about scanning everything I buy and felt paranoid that they would know too much about me! not that I buy anything weird, it's just having someone know what you buy, how much you weigh...why do they need to know your height and weight? felt a bit funny, so I closed it without completing it.

I filled this out about six months ago and got a message saying I was being considered. A few days later I got en email to say I had been successful and someone would contact me soon BUt I've heard nothing since. Probably just as well as being a family of seven our weekly shopping is huge and woud take me forever to scan.

yes I did the survey and just got a phone call this morning saying I have been accepted. They also sent an email for a another survey to fill out. I do big shops too so am a bit worried about the time it will take but will give it a shot anyway. I have to sign for 6 months though.

Ive been doing it for a couple of years. I dont scan as soon as I get home, I just do it the next day or day after. I dont think its all that much effort, unless your a lazy bum. It only takes a second to scan something before you put it away.

I did the survey and they said they had toooo many of my type - i'm not needed booo hooo:(:(:(

Have to say I too am a bit worried about someone having that much information about my family. Watched something on tv last night saying that the loyalty card information is also sold and passed on to others. Just not fussed about that.

i done this for a couple years,i think i quailified easily because we are a large family and having young kids and teenagers covered more demographics,it was easy if you paid full price for everything but the minute you bought reduced items it become more involved to imput,i did get to the staaage where i wasn't including everything and then got a phone call saying my total shopping bill and what i scanned didn't corrospond.
Once i started working it became to hard and i sent it back, and got more of a reward for sending it back with in a few days then the whole time i was doing it.

What do u mean by trouble with reduced items? You scan them as normal and select that they were on special, too easy.

I filled it out too and it said that I had completed the first step of the registration.

Can anyone give an idea of how often the rewards come and what they are ? I hope its not like those survey websites where you fill out a hundred surveys and get $20 if your lucky.

I once took part in nappy research for my kids which was great as it saved me buying them. It wasnt too hard, I am hoping this is similar...........

nah it wasn't that easily done when i was doing it,unless things have changed.
i done the nappy one at least once year from the time my son was born to even testing pull ups when he was toilet training, and it did take abit longer to weigh and record info but the benifit was heaps of free nappies and i never seem to get anything other then a huggie quality.

We did it years ago and found it a pain, you had to scan every item and put the price you paid in, took ages and was sooo not worth the rewards. We are 5 plus pets and I shop every day, may be easier if you buy less :P

Why they need your height and weight is beyond me, thats taking big brother a little too far!

Do love their Your Voice Panel though, pays reasonably well for what they ask. Has recently been taken over by some international group so I am waiting to see whether they change it much. So far the only change I can see is they send me surveys I don't qualify for. Since they have all my details on file they should have a better screening process before they send the emails out.
