May not have been OS's but
Because of our wonderful lottos site I have just fulfilled a life time dream to see snow .
The timing was a little off , can't do the things I could even 3 years ago , would love to have been able to try to ski but wasn't worth the risks .
But it was still the most magical experience ,with snow falling the scenery is constantly changing .
We did get to build a snowman , pics were taken on my sons camera so can't put 1 up yet .But the Go Natural Company sent me a runner up prize as well
& it had the scarf & beanie with their logo which I put on Mr Snowman to later put on their FB page .
My son reckons I was like a kid seeing toys for the 1st time when the snow started lightly falling as we stepped off the bus .
It is something I will never forget & really hope to get to do again , used to think people who went somewhere that was so cold when we have so
many warm places around the country were mad ,now I understand the spell it puts over you .

Sounds so beautiful. I dream of seeing snow falling. I did go to the snow on a school trip but it never snowed. I ended up with my leg in plaster
after 2 days and got to spend the time sitting inside. So dont worry about not giving that a try. I will never try skiing again, have bad knees.
Would be great to see your pics, let us know when you have some. My goal is to take the kids to the snow. I almost went last year but we couldn't get
the timing right. I have promised it to the kids. Fingers crossed for next season. |

Beautiful snowflakes falling
Dear Gypsy my family would dearly love
to visit the snow as we don't have lots of time),
hubby kitesurfs and I think he could do this now
not forever... Our goal is to take the girls to the snow
sometime soon although we are extreme waterlovers
who love the tropics hence we live in QLD..
sounds like you had a beautiful time lucky you..

I come from England so have seen snow fall and had to trudge to school in it, but recently while in New Zealand we were driving along and it started
to snow, my hubby was quite mesmerized by it, and it was still a beautiful site. Glad you got to fulfil a dream Gypsy enjoy the memories.

Sounds wonderful Gypsy. The last time I saw snow was in 1980 and it was surreal then. My dream is to spend a Christmas in New york sometime.. |

That was me ,any where tropical & I'm also in QLD .I had made my wish list just a few weeks before the win & said a holiday anywhere warm .
Though to see snow was top of my bucket list ,I wasn't able to ski due to a rare illness but was totally blown away just to be an observer .
No aches or pains Flutterby , kept myself nice & warm & took care getting about .
I'm an earth sign , guess that is why I love nature's beauty so much , wish I could have ventured out a bit further & got more photos .
For an idea of how much snow we had ,pics of the pool from our room ,day 1,2 & 3.
   Looking at our room from outside  My snow cake message . And me looking the part . Woops thought they were all the smaller size .

SO glad you enjoyed this beautiful part of the world Gypsy!!
Best thing about living here is that (for example) on Saturday, my teenage son got to choose as he often can, between a day snowboarding at Perisher,
a day surfing at Merimbula, or a day doing city stuff in Canberra.
We are equal distance (just over one hour by car) to all three!
(he opted to snowboard, so Mum's shopping day in the city will have to wait!)
Next saturday its whale watching and surfing for sure!

Thank you to the mod that resized the pics ,I had done it in photobucket ,was coming back to do it this morning when a bit more alert .
mlp ,I'm certain I could never live there (bad weather effects my moods ) but ooh so beautiful to visit .
With the record snow fall I think he took the best option , they had the MTV Snow event up there last Thursday & were lots of happy people with
the perfect conditions .
I never got to go up on the ski lift either , all I spoke to said you had to be quick to get off (don't do quick well) though my son went to 1 of the
resteraunts on the final day & found they stopped to let you off but the winds were gusting at 75 Klms .
Will just have to win another trip
