Big Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks to Andrew and all the mods for a great site that is very user friendly.

after studying IT, I appreciate the amount of effort that was required to make everything run smoothly

It's a great site and I love to read about others winning up a storm
Keeps me with a positive outlook on life in general as "good things do come to those who wait"

I check in here almost every day(if not everyday) for my dose of positive optimism

Happy birthday for the 15th and may there be many more birthdays to come.

I love this site, also my fav place on the net and the only place I try to never miss visiting other than my email

Go lottos and thanks to all the members for posts and positive outlook

cheers mystique32

Thanks for the background story about Lottos, Andrew. It is my favourite site. My only regret is that I did not know of the site's existence earlier than I did.

Wow - I was just reading this, and thought it was all new. I was thinking - I asked Andrew for the YEARS ago, not months ago! LOL - he replied YEARS ago!

Anyway - one day I was looking for something and found a site called the Way Back Machine - can't remeber the addy - waybackmachine.com??

You can find old versions of Andrew's site there - lottos.com.au

I'm in a mad hurry tonight - have to be back up at 6 in the morning, and VERY tired. If no-one finds it, I'll look on the weekend, otherwise perhaps someone can have a look for the site - it is a massive archive of the internet.

Good luck

Just found this post and what an interesting read.

I've been a lottos memeber for a few years now - Had kids, moved house and gone back to work. My comping time is limited these days, but like many I try to have a gander each day, even just to see what people have won to keep me inspired. Although I enter far less than I used to, I frequently receive prizes that still give me that elation I felt with my first win all those years ago. Yet as Andrew mentioned, you can enter everything and win nothing, but enter a few and win them all, that's the mystery of comping.

I found lottos by accident - the best accident ever. :D

I'm pretty sure I joined in 1999 but for some reason mine says 2003. I think there was a sort of update around then but not sure. I don't go a day without lottos and if my memory serves me right then I've been a member now for 10 years. Geez :) lol
So happy to be a member. Huge thanks to Andrew and the mods who help to keep the site running so well. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the lottos.com.au forum!!!!!!!!
Thankyou soooooo much to Andrew and all the mods........this site is awesome......the comps, the community spirit, the friends that I have made in real life after meeting them online.
I have been a paid member for a little over 3 years now, and loving it!
It's great to hear how it all got started.

Thanks Andrew. its fascinating to know the history and read what was involved. I remember years ago whenever I was looking up comps or free stuff the lottos web site would pop up & I vaguely remember it being for lottos stuff, so I never joined. But I was put onto lottos by a lady from ebay who I bought my clothes dryer from a few years back. I raced home, put the clothes dryer up and then jumped on the computer and joined lottos, and I havent looked back. So if your out there the lady who sold my the clothes dryer you won a massive thanks :)

You're probably thinking of this pg http://www.lottos.com.au/competitions/ The lottos forum didn't start till May '02.
I remember visiting that page for a fair while before I found the forum in March '03.. wish I'd found it the first time I visited! Funny thinking about the old forum now and the initial posts on it.
When I joined everyone seemed like they'd known each other forever.. little did I know how young the forum really was lol

I always had this vision that 'the' Andrew occaisonally spoken of in hushed tones was living life just like Don Johnson in Miami Vice ....spending the days bobbing on the deck of the yacht (in between thrilling chases of course) sipping drinks with little umbrellas which arrive carried by some amazonian woman who speaks only one language....ahhh

Anyway now I know the truth which was very interesting - Well done Andrew!

Good job Mods for keeping me well controlled so everyone can enjoy the site ;)

The only thing Lottos doesn't do is enter the comps for you, now that would be fantastic lol.
