HI Niahrose,
I came back form a cruise 12 months ago but went on the Jewel.
Had a great time very relaxing. We went to Noumea , didnt like it much very dirty , we had booked the day tour to go to Amiti Island but it was
cancelled, so we did the little yellow choo choo train tour where it takes you around the island, it was good & you got to see the other side
& how pretty it was. Lifou was nice we just snorkled & did the P & O tour " Melanesian Encounter " for 2 hrs that took us to the
villiages out of town saw how they live & eat, the big chiefs hut was interesting to see . They have a market there where you can eat get a
massage hair braided etc.. was a nice day
On the ship there is always something to do. have a great time , if you wanted to know anymore just u2u me

Will do.
Can't wait to do lots of shopping at the markets on the Islands.
We've bought lots of stationary too for the Island children.
My kiddies have been counting down since Christmas
Now we're up to 5 days.
Don't know if they (ages 7 and 3) are more excited about flying to Brisbane (from Melb) or the actual Cruise!!!!!
Thanks everyone. |

you'll have a ball.
We loved all our stops, including Noumea, we didn't find it dirty at all - we have heard that to be a common complaint and also that the people are
rude - we also didn't find that to be true.
We did the chou chou ride and loved the lookout at the big cannon. We were due to go to Vila and Lifou but missed out due to problems with the cruise
before (made our cruise shorter) but it was fantastic and the crew did their best to make the cruise still excellent - which it was - so much so that
when we got home we rebooked - and we're off on our 2nd cruise in about 3 weeks or so.
My tip would be - to relax and enjoy the holiday, to enjoy duty free shopping and the photos on board, and enjoy the meals (but maybe take the stairs
.. those elevators take forever!) Enjoy the themed nights.. Just enjoy the whole time and how much better that you won the trip.
If you're going to do the Bingo jackpot on the last night, make sure you get there early - I reckon every passenger does the bingo jackpot the last
night and it's a rush on for the chairs!
happy cruisin! |

Thank you, your all soooo lovely!!
We have booked the Yellow Choo Choo Train at Noumea and The Cascade Waterfalls at Vila. Not sure what to do in Lifou too much to choose from haha.
I know, winning this holiday makes it that much more fun!!
I am looking forward to relaxing. The last year has been difficult!
My Dad now (53) had a stroke and is quadriplegic and after his wife separated from him I have become his Guardian and look after him
I think this Cruise was meant to be!
Good things happen to good people and Good Luck to you all in Lottos Land!!!

In vila you should go to Hideaway Island - amazing! A little island not far from the mainland, with a cafe/bar, snorkling hire (amazing snorkling) and
lots of lounge chairs to relax on. I think you can get tours there, but we just took a taxi and then you get a little boat over there. (a couple of
minutes in the boat at the most). |

Your so lucky you won a cruise. I went on one last Dec with Rhapsody of the Seas to NZ. I was only able to pay for it because my mum passed away and
left my sisters and i a small amount of money. Well I loved it so much we are going back this Nov but on the Radience of the seas. The royal carribean
line is wonderful. I'm hook line and sinkered when it comes to cruising now. I was so pleased i didn't get sea sick either. But took travacalm with me
just in case. The food was just wonderful, the crew and waiters etc fantastic and there was always something to do. you can be as busy as you want or
as lazy as you want. Last cruise I had a heel spur the whole time which was so limiting too. Anyway you'll have a ball. I love the fact that you can
just go onboard, unpack and just relax. I can't wait. We have a balcony too which is a real bonus. Especially the fact my sister is a mad photographer
so fabulous for her. |

Cogratulations on going on a cruise niarose. We did a cruise a few years back and it was just the most relaxing holiday I have ever had.
In Lifou, the best snorkling is over the hill to the back beach, but becareful going down the stairs into the water they are very steep and slippery
we saw a couple of people slip and injure themselves. While snorkling just be aware that the sun shines on the backs of your legs and they get burnt
very easily. We spent hours in the water with the fish and coral just amazing, but some of us were very sore that night from too much sun. Not sure
about the little ones it is shallow near the stairs, but the snorkling is well worth the effort. Hope you have a wonderful time and everyone enjoys
their cruise. I'm envious just thinking about it. |

Went on the same cruise in February (my first ever cruise too). I'm prone to seasickness so just took it easy and kept popping travel sickness tablets
and got through it ok. LOVED it and am looking forward to my next cruise: ). Missed Lifou due to bad weather. Vila has awesome fake brand name bags
and purses to buy. I found the souvenirs there cheaper in the shops than at market stalls but it all depends where you look (my first keyring cost $5
and the last shop I went in had them for $1!). In the ship I took the stairs all the time and didn't end up gaining weight despite all the yummy food
I ate! Have fun |
