I'm very interested in becoming a mystery shopper, but can any of you who already do it tell me how it affects taxation if you already work? My
husband and I own a small business, so in effect I already have an income and this would be a second income. I would like to know how it works before
I sign up for it.
Thanks in advance,
Lisa |

I didn't ring them, because the phone number you gave me was a Melbourne phone number...and my phone doesn't allow interstate numbers. |

I will be putting in a tax return for it.

Wear Glasses? Check Gapbusters July
If you wear glasses, check out July's Gapbuster assignment for OPSM. Test and glasses paid for by them -- can this be true?! |

I do this kind of work for two other companies and receive between $12 & $15, but I couldn't see anything about payment on the site.
What heading is it under?
Thanks,
Ann

Payment is given along with a brief description at the begining before when you choose a date.
Click "webselect" Then you click "coles" then it gives you a description and value of job etc

Can anyone help? I've had messages from them recently about new assignments being available, for Coles etc, but I've logged on immediately
and found nothing (a few Coles Express, but not Coles or anything else new). Is everyone having the same experience, and it's just their glitch
(like when Germany and Singapore jobs were listed), or might there be something wrong with my system's updating or something else at my end?
I'd really like to know, because I've been enjoying their jobs and am so grateful for finding out about them through this original posting. |

Marg27,I received that email as well.I think they are tring to allocate the last of these assignments for August before they put the September ones on
site.
Just a little tip, always check the Gapbuster website for jobs in the first week or two of the month.I don't always receive an email to say the
new ones have been put on site and sometimes I have a look and there will be 100's available.
They usually start around the 10th or 11th of each month but sometimes earlier.
I always check about 2.00pm each day.
I manage to get around 15 to 20 per month and my partner gets around the same so we are quite busy with it and look forward to payday each month which
is around the 11th. |

thanks peaceangel, glad I'm not going crazy (well, not in this respect anyway).
Yes, I've found it's really worthwhile checking everyday and usually have already signed up for jobs before I even get the email. I' m
really enjoying most of these jobs, much more than some from other companies, easy to report on and you end up with products you can use rather than
ones you have to find a use for. I hope they never lose the Australia Post contract, for example!
Thanks again |

Alot of the jobs go pretty fast so you need to get in pretty quickly. Also there may be 100s of jobs advertised, but there wont always be some in your
area. |

Is anyone else having trouble looking at the assignments available? I can log on ok, choose a job, say Aussie Post, choose my state, but then the drop
down box for suburb is blank. Is it just me? |

I've just signed up and finished all the training....am wondering if it is worth it all for $5? Like if you are paying for your meal and they are
reimbursing you that, you are only being payed $5 - $7 for all that hassle. Just wondered if they have an better paying jobs along the line, or are
they all around that price?
Thanks

Obviously can't join unless you have a previous employer.. So being on a pension isn't accepted. Typical when we are the ones that need the extra cash

I joined up too, thanks. I love mystery shopping.
I cant understand the rules for how many you can do. My area only found 3 results for Macca. I can only choose one assignment, It says I can not do
two in a row. But it also says that you can not visit the same store 2 days in a row and a maximum of 6 to the same store in one month.
Does it mean that another shopper must visit the same store before I can go again. ???? I thats the case, and there are no other local shoppers, then
I can only go once.
The payment isnt much when you have to print out all the paperwork and scan reciepts etc. |
