Check that the insurance will cover you for that. If you buy cheap cheap air tickets that have strict conditions, insurance may not cover OR those tickets may not be able to be changed under any conditions.

Some of the credit cards cover you.

And remember if your illness is a pre-existing condition you will have to declare it to the insurer.

We have an annual policy, think our current one is with covermore.

If you google travel insurance you will see lots of options.

I have used Travel More the last couple of times I've travelled and I find them quiet cheap. http://www.covermore.com.au/1/home.aspx

We used: http://www.travelinsurance.com.au/

They have several policies to choose from.

You have to read the small print very carefully. This company is a reseller (we chose the more expensive QBE policy, which was still a lot cheaper than from many other companies). They are really good at answering questions, email them to clarify anything you don't understand, especially if it's a pre-existing condition.

Hope you have lots of fun on your holiday.
