That's Life & Take5- has any won from them???
Hi everyone!!!
I just wanted to quickly ask if anyone has won anything from the magazines That's Life and Take 5?? Just wondering if it's worth pursuing

I have won a couple of smaller prizes like dvd and movie passes and a cheque for $100. My sister has won a couple of prizes around $400 |

I recently stopped entering both as over a period of 5-6 years have only won about 4-5 tiny prizes. I was getting a bit overwhelmed with all the
other comps so decided to ditch these mag comps. Too much work for such little return. BUT other's enjoy doing the puzzles so whatever makes you
happy

Stopped entering last year.
Just work out how much each magazine costs plus a stamp and multiply by 52. Then multiply by two if you buy both magazines. Then add envelopes.
That's quite a bit of money per year.
I'd rather spend that money on purchase comps or on myself. |

won a pair of sunnies from That's Life recently. that's the first prize I've ever won from them since starting to buy from them 6 or so years ago.
won a few small things years ago from Take 5 but nothing recently. and nothing of huge value. not really worth the investment, but I don't do the
puzzles...I get the answers off here, and then I give them to a friend whose husband works at a nursing home. a few of the residents like doing the
puzzles, so I find it hard to stop buying them seeing they end up somewhere where they are appreciated.

I've bought every issue since they came out in the late 90s. I've won heaps (but never that elusive car). |

know someone that works there and have had the bags of mail described that are delivered for their comps... its mental!!
as is the process of delivering the mags when there is a scratch card that contains a large prize (ie. win one of ten cars etc)
the professionalism is at a standard that i wish all promoters could meet, but given the amount of entrys, it is a tough win to crack! |

$500, travel package and numerous other prizes, probably a couple of smaller ones most years. I did find I had a better success rate with the phone in
ones and other ones they put in the magazines (less entries?). |

A beach set, a couple of alarm clocks and a scarf set, I'm still hoping for that big win. I enjoy these comps so that's okay.
I do know that a person from my home town did win a car a few years back though so I'm hoping for lightening to strike twice. HeHeHE. |

From Take 5 I win fairly often and some really nice prizes. From TL I have won once, that was a WII and it was years ago. |

Only small prizes here, they took about 6 months to deliver them. So don't bother with them anymore. |

I won a car from That's Life and enter Take 5 and TL! every week. Have won quite a few things from them over the years and was fortunate enough to
see my name in Take 5 as a winner last week for a small prize
Edit: I tend to think about it this way Between TL! and Take5 a car each week
that means there are 52 cars given in a year each Unless they have another type
of promotion
Thats 104 cars |

Can also add 2-3 stamps per mag each week too, I have only bought it once or twice in recent months for the same reason won once from each and both
were very small prizes. I must admit seeing that huge barrel on TT or ACA a while back was disheartening and made me realise why I dont win from them
lol When your on a bidget they are the first to go, ive won much better prizes that cost me nothing to enter... i do enjoy the puzzles & stories
when I do buy them though |

Gee Im going to start entering the special In Our Dreams Comp- I'm sure my hubby wouldnt mind too much. Not if I could also throw in a car and some
cash!!! lol
Hmmmm- sitting on the fence about doing it or not.... I think Im pretty lucky so I'll give it a go for six months and see what happens I LOVE the idea of giving the mags with puzzles to the nursing homes- thats
brilliant!!!! |

I must admit I am quite surprised that a couple of you have won cars...assuming you only buy the one standard copy of each mag per week?
Of course I am not surprised that people who comp win things, but if they are not doing any more entries than other people who only buy the mags and
don't comp, then 2 people on a comping site winning cars, seems quite a lot, not sure if I am making sense?  |

never after spending heaps on the mags. Finally gave up on them this year and saving the cash instead |
